Welfare Officer

JOB SUMMARY: -

To ensure harmonious Industrial environment by acting as Advisor, counselor, mediator Laisoning between Management and Labour, for improving the efficiency, Productivity and Profitability of Organization. 

REPORTING: -

General Manager-P&A

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: -

Administration/Internal Communications: 

•    To establish contacts and hold consultations with a view to maintaining harmonious relations between the factory management and workers.
•    To bring to the notice of factory management, the grievances of workers, individual as well as collective, with a view to securing their expeditious redress and to act as a Liaison Officer between the management and labour
•    To study and understand the point of view of labour in order to help the factory management to shape and formulate labour policies and to interpret these policies to the workers in language they can understand.
•    Responsible for overall supervision of canteen / Housekeeping functioning.
•    To encourage the production committees, co-operative societies, and welfare committees and to supervise their work.
•    To encourage provision of amenities such as canteens, shelters for rest, creches, adequate latrine facilities, rig water, sickness and benevolent scheme payments, pension and superannuation funds, gratuity, payments, granting of loans and legal advice to workers.
•    To advise on provision of welfare facilities such as food-stuffs, social and recreational facilities and sanitation and on individual personal problems.
•    To advise the factory management on questions relating to training of apprentices, supervision and control of notice board and information bulletins.

Other duties and responsibilities

•    Planning and coordinating committees - Welfare / Canteen / Recreation Club / Works Committee etc.
•    To suggest measures which will serve to raise the standard of living of workers and in general, promote their well being
•    Responsible for introducing latest trends / innovative welfare practices
•    Responsible for promoting eco-friendly activities and supporting HSE ACTIVITIES. / CSR Initiatives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: -
 
Education:

•    Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and PG or Diploma in social science / LLB with Labour Laws


Experience
•    Minimum 8 years post qualification experience in Welfare/ Personnel / HR in Manufacturing

•    Organization, Negotiation, Problem Solving and Conflict Management

•    Should be able to work in Cross Functional team
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office.
•    Intense focus on providing support to internal and external customers in a timely manner.
