Regional Marketing Manager, Blood Centre Solutions, APAC

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

Reporting to the Director, Regional Marketing, APAC, this role is responsible for the development of customer centric Blood Centre Solutions (BCS) portfolio market strategy and implementation for the APAC region, which includes Australia and New Zealand, China, India, North Asia and South East Asia. Based in Singapore, responsibilities include people management of a Regional Product Specialist within BCS, that requires close collaboration with Global, country commercial and cross-function stakeholders to drive APAC growth and to represent the region’s voice and needs.

 

This Regional Marketing Manager’s focus will encompass the development of regional BCS market landscape, segmentation and customer profiles supported with targeted marketing strategies and sales pathways to drive the region’s growth plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

This role will need to understand and adapt business area strategies, objectively support business needs, and communicate cross-projects constraints, requirements, risks and opportunities, and implement towards measured results.

 

  • Development of APAC BCS market growth strategy, supported by market data and analysis to lead to towards customer centric approach in key markets to achieve business objectives
  • Develop regional launch excellence plans for new product launch or upgrades; and ensure seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, Clinical Education, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Technical Services, Scientific Marketing etc.
  • Provide upstream information and insights on regional product/needs for product development - user feedback, features/benefits and concepts to the global product marketing team; use appropriate communication channels to ensure this information is disseminated internally to key stakeholders.
  • Align with Regional and Country Leads on customer segmentation tools, data collation and tracking, to drive objectives of effective segment and account targeting and develop messages and materials to support those needs
  • Lead and provide guidance to key congress participation, content messaging and branding communication
  • Collate competitive intelligence to provide proactive marketing messaging / campaigns to strengthen Terumo BCT brands
  • Responsible for driving the development and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns, materials and congresses across portfolio
  • Provide expertise on understanding the marketplace, identifying trends and growth opportunities, diagnosing customer needs and behaviors, analyzing competitive dynamics as well as the economics drivers of the region.
  • Forecasts and meets project deadlines. Takes the initiative to report on project status; anticipates and alerts manager and internal customers of potential project difficulties.
  • Plans and manages marketing budget accordingly and ensures that all programs are developed within their goals and budgets: ensure cost efficiency for campaigns or meetings expenses.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

 

Bachelor's degree in Science, Marketing and/or Business (or equivalent experience)

 

Experience

 

  • Minimum of 8 years’ working experience, with at least 3 years in an APAC Marketing role in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry. Prior sales experience in this relevant industry is an advantage.
  • People management and leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience in working with medical electronics and software integration on business networks is an advantage.

 

Skills

 

  • Ability to relate to medical professionals in a healthcare environment.
  • High level of technical learning aptitude with an eye for details
  • Ability to train and present to sales and marketing teams as well as customers (clinicians, laboratory staff etc.)
  • Strong command in English and an Asian language (Chinese is preferred), verbal, in reading and writing.
  • High level of business analytical and presentation skills is required
  • Good negotiation skills with assertiveness and persistence to working out pricing packages with external vendors
  • Ability to manage IT and digital tools to collect and distribute communication materials over various media platforms
  • Excellence in organization and planning, including budget planning for events and programs
  • Demonstrates keen ability to lead others in problem solving towards achieving overall objectives
  • Innovative individual with good judgment via structured methodologies and data
