Job Summary

Reporting to the SEA Commercial Lead, this role is responsible for leading marketing strategy development, product management and centralized clinical support and education and cascade to the SEA markets for implementation.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work with the SEA Commercial lead, with inputs from the SEA markets, translate customer needs and problems into product introduction and marketing strategies. 
  • Collects and analyzes competitor information, coordinates and refines marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Provides high level of expertise on products by communicating strategies, direction, or general information. 
  • Monitors and analyzes indicators of business performance such as Sales vs. Forecast, actual vs. plan selling price, product mix, disposables utilization, competitor information, and other relevant marketing data factors.
  • Works closely with the commercial teams to successfully identify business opportunities, support sales tools, and marketing initiatives in a timely and high-quality manner. 
  • Provides direction on the design and implementation of promotion, sales force collateral, advertisements, press releases and other customer communication materials to ensure consistency with customer’s needs and the system selling approach. 
  • Coordinates and executes marketing campaigns in an efficient and effective manner and ensures that tasks are completed on time.
  • Produces reports required for each campaign execution i.e. budget approval, pre-event reporting, post-event reporting and ensures campaigns are executed within budget and analyzes results.
  • Provides marketing support for any regional special events and projects.
  • Ensures regular communications with sales on marketing campaigns being planned/executed
  • Maintains regular communication and relationship with key industry media and associations
  • Participates in the annual strategic planning process representing SEA.
  • Manages expense budget within approved guidelines.
  • Assists in the communication of issues with quality, product design, inventory levels, and application issues back to global/regional Marketing management and other responsible departments.
  • Support the development and execution of customer and field clinical support training programs in SEA across the portfolio.

 

Clinical Education

 

  • Ensure effective customer training, product evaluations ,Affiliates/distributor certifications , complaint handling and escalation through clinical support associates.
  • Ensure the 2nd level clinical training support to field  associates organized in effective manner.
  • Performs ongoing market assessment of customers' technical needs and problems.
  • Analyzes therapy trends in the marketplace, and communicates to necessary departments( including Medical Affairs, Market Access)
  • Provides detailed input/feedback to Commercial Managers regarding accounts and make recommendations to improve customer satisfaction.

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Marketing and/or Business (or equivalent experience)

 

Experience:  

  • Minimum of 8 years’ working experience, with at least 5 years in and regional Marketing role in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry. Prior sales experience in this relevant industry is an advantage.
  • People management and leadership experience is preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fluid environment where SEA markets are diverse and complex.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and market trends within the context of product and business capabilities and the ability to translate this assessment into workable strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with physicians and other medical professionals, as well as with all functions and levels within the business organization.
  • Ability to understand scientific facts and package them into a cohesive communication model for customers and sales personnel.
  • Didactic skills: ability to educate sales people as well as customers (clinicians, blood bankers, Hematologists, surgeons, researchers).
  • Ability to manage IT and digital tools to collect and distribute communication materials over various media platforms
  • Excellence in organization and planning, including budget planning for events and programs
  • Demonstrates keen ability to lead others in problem solving and prioritizing work towards achieving overall objectives
  • In line with the Terumo BCT Core and Leadership Competencies
  • Fluent in English. Other regional languages like Vietnamese, Bahasa, Thai would be preferred, not mandatory.

 

Equipment:

  • Knowledge necessary to work in Microsoft applications, interfaces, and databases.
