The incumbent has a matrix reporting to the Global Marketing Communications and the Director, Regional Marketing, APAC. This role is responsible for planning, executing and measuring marketing and communication programs as well as supporting and implementing regional corporate communications initiatives.  


The APAC region includes SEA, North Asia, China, India, Australia and New Zealand. 


Based in Singapore, this role encompasses overseeing internal and external events, such as commercial meetings and congresses, from pre-planning to final implementation and follow-up. The role also involves managing the development of regional customer-facing marketing materials within the compliance to the TruSource approval process. Responsibilities also include supporting implementation of marketing campaigns or materials which may require adaptations and translations for internal events, sales meetings and congresses. This role will need to work cross functionally and across different levels, to understand business area strategies, objectively support business needs and communicate cross-projects constraints, requirements, risks and opportunities, and implement towards measured results.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Teams to translate marketing plans into yearly integrated marketing communications plans
  • Collaborate closely with the internal and external creative teams to develop key marketing collaterals, promotional items, and other assets; provide direction on the design and implementation to ensure brand and messaging consistency to deliver a consistent customer experience across various channels
  • Leads and work closely with internal and external teams to organize and implement on marketing and communication activities. Examples: regional summits, webinars, digital marketing campaigns, events, congresses, exhibitions.
  • Understand the customer journey to identify new and effective marketing communication activities
  • Analyze marketing activities and campaigns to report and track KPI metrics and propose improvements to maximize effectiveness and impact of programs
  • Align marketing communication plans with product marketing, regional/local marketing, sales, and global marketing
  • Partner with subject matter experts to generate digital content, and other collaterals
  • Leverage digital marketing tactics on corporate social media, utilize SEO and/or SEM to promote content, build the brand, and attract new customers
  • Ensure all applicable marketing, advertising, promotional, training and support materials are in line with the TruSource approval process to ensure that these are developed, approved, released and controlled consistently in all languages
  • Manage the translation of materials as required (internal or outsourced).
  • Manages development of regional marketing communications programs and supports training programs, product launches/ commercialization programs, marketing collateral, direct marketing campaigns/ PR, advertising, trade shows, educational programs, sales and launch kits.
  • Establish and maintain a brand position and identity in the marketplace consistent with Terumo BCT's brand guidelines and best practices.
  • Ensure corporate and product brand guidelines are used in print/visual materials and other marketing collaterals.
  • Works with local/regional sales and marketing to coordinate regional tradeshows and congress efforts including booth activity, symposium, workshops, KOL meetings, sponsorships, etc.
  • Creates and manages the Advertising & Promotional budget and ensures that all programs are developed within their goals and budgets: ensure cost efficiency for tradeshows/marketing communication materials and print expenses.
  • Coordinates the In-Country review process for APAC to ensure that all localized materials are appropriate for the region or market in which it will be used.
  • Ensures that all applicable marketing, advertising, promotional, training and support materials are in line with the TruSource approval process to ensure that these are developed, approved, released, and controlled consistently in all languages.






  • Bachelor's degree or/equivalent education in Marketing, Communications, Business, any prior experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job, maybe considered.
  • Digital marketing qualification or experience is preferred.



  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, with preference for regional marketing communications experience and at least 2 years in medical device or related industry.
  • The job title will commensurate with the level/years of experience.



  • Strong command of English and Chinese language (Mandarin) both verbally and in writing is required to communicate to bilingual stakeholders
  • Excellent marketing communication skills
  • Good negotiation skills with assertiveness and persistence to working out pricing packages with vendors
  • Ability to manage IT and digital tools to collect and distribute communication materials over various media platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to use resources effectively and efficiently
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills with ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines and budgets, to adapt to continually changing project information, inputs, and priorities.
  • Meticulous, attention to details and resourceful in achieving results
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others in problem solving towards achieving overall objectives
  • Demonstrates creativity and good judgment
