JOB TITLE: Market Access Specialist (Spain)

 

JOB SUMMARY

To continue our growth within the therapeutic apheresis and cell technology environments, Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is opening an exciting role in our team for and Market Access Specialist.

In this role you will contribute to our projects with a focus on market access work and payor interactions (building market access landscapes, assessment of reimbursement structures, value dossier development, business case creation, and education of the commercial organization).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a country/regional value story and value dossier to support reimbursement requests.
  • Identify opportunities and actively engage in health economic data collection, this includes meeting with customers using Terumo BCT technology and setting up systems to collect data related to patient outcomes, quality of life and health resource utilization.
  • Identify opportunities and actively engage in dossier submission to enhance access to care (HTA, funding and reimbursement opportunities etc.). In collaboration with regional market access teams, co-develop reimbursement pathways and strategies for Spain and other selected countries.
  • Analyze health economic data sets and translate into abstracts, posters, publications, payer education documents and commercial tools. Contribute to the development of healthcare systems atlas / reimbursement of Terumo BCT portfolio
  • Work cross-functionally with direct peers from medical affairs, marketing, commercial and clinical sales to enhance patient access.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Knowledge required to perform at this level is generally acquired through completion of a master’s degree and/or equivalent experience or above.
  • Post-graduate training in market access, health policy, or health outcomes/economics is an asset.

 

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, consulting or medical device industry in Market Access / Health Economics is required.
  • Experience in interaction with HTA national and regional bodies is required
  • Experience in the assessment of reimbursement structures and value dossier development is required
  • Experience consulting and executing health outcomes projects from inception to publication is a plus.
  • Experience in value dossier development for public and private environments.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement mechanisms at national, regional, and hospital levels. 
  • Experience in Alzheimer’s disease is a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Working remote from home office as a standard (Spain).
  • International / domestic travel may be required less than 20% of the time.
