Commercial Finance Business Partner - LATAM

The role could be hired in any of the LATAM countries where our offices are located (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, México, Peru, Uruguay)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supports the LATAM GM in analyzing, developing, and implementing programs aimed at improving sales performance.
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves business cases for customer transactions outside standard guidelines. Monitors the approval process for major business cases within LATAM.
  • Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) for SIOP-based commercial activities.
  • Leads strategic planning and monitoring of annual sales and operating expense (OPEX) plans.
  • Develops short- and medium-term investment projects for strategic growth across different technologies. Plans investments for new product launches and/or replacing outdated technologies with new ones.
  • Produces monthly reports and dashboards effectively demonstrating LATAM commercial operations performance.
  • Analyzes commercial activities in terms of sales, margin, and operating profit performance. Identifies emerging issues early and recommends proactive strategies to address them.
  • Collaborates with LATAM sales management on customer visits, working directly with commercial and finance representatives in each LATAM country.
  • Develops financial models for new business opportunities, customer solutions, and other strategic projects.
  • Supports the LATAM sales force in analyzing customer deals and business cases, including developing tools and training to drive business growth, both internally and with distributors.
  • Prepares weekly sales forecast updates for presentation to both Finance and Sales teams.
  • Assists in reviewing and establishing annual pricing guidelines, ensuring appropriate processes are in place to meet pricing and transaction approval requirements.
  • Conducts in-depth monthly analysis of sales and SG&A variances, providing feedback on key performance drivers as well as risks and opportunities for future periods.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve internal processes in LATAM to enhance pricing competitiveness.
  • Oversees the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and reporting to management.
  • Masters the strategic planning process in LATAM (working with business partners, meeting deadlines, implementing processes, etc.).
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to team members on relevant aspects of their work and career development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • University degree in economics or accounting or equal through experience
  • English language: advanced level

 

Experience

  • 7 years of relevant experience, ideally supporting the commercial department
  • Demonstrated insight in economic & business concepts and modeling
  • Accounting background is an asset

 

Skills

 

  • Analytical and strategic skills to support business growth.
  • Ability to influence decisions and act as a key partner for the commercial team.
  • Deep knowledge of pricing models, profitability, and forecasting.
  • Strong leadership and a growth mindset in a dynamic environment
