JOB TITLE: Compensation Analyst (Global)

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Global Compensation Analyst provides operational support in the administration of Global Compensation programs for Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies to attract, motivate, develop, reward, and retain of key talent. This role encourages a constructive dialogue amongst Global Human Resources and other business functions in the alignment of global compensation programs with business objectives, as well as to support the implementation, administration and management of concentrated tools and processes.

This role is responsible for supporting the design, development, analysis, and administration of global compensation programs, policies, and procedures; working closely with Human Resources staff on determining classifications and pay levels for positions; ensures country/state/local, collective bargaining and work council regulatory laws and rule compliance, internal equity and external competitiveness; participating in key compensation cycles, studies, and projects; creates reports and maintains data to monitor global compensation activity; and participates in various global salary surveys and other data exchanges to support compensation analyses. In addition, the role uses a knowledge of compensation theory and practice and will provide analytical support in broader areas of Total Rewards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of global compensation structures for all countries.
  • Provides support and administration of global compensation programs, including annual compensation program review; annual salary review process; benchmarking of roles; maintaining and updating position descriptions.
  • Create and modify salary structures and guidelines.
  • Prepare total compensation recommendations.
  • Conduct research, analysis and recommendations for new and revised plans and programs that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and align with objectives.
  • Perform job evaluations, market job pricing, internal equity analyses, impact analysis, and plan effectiveness analyses. Conducts, participates in, and analyzes compensation surveys to ensure compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Conducts analyses related to cost and trends and providing analytical data management support for measurement and tracking of key compensation metrics. Develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data to management.
  • Support the annual salary budget process, providing country and associate group merit increases and promotion.
  • Support the design and administration of short and long-term incentive plans.
  • Document processes and ensure standardization and automation where possible.
  • Provide support to simplify and ensure operational excellence in the execution of global Total Rewards programs.
  • Provide support with job offers, finance accruals, internal equity reviews, severances/separations, and reorganizations.
  • Provide consultative assistance to HR partners and management on global total rewards issues and concerns; as well as help support the Global Total Rewards Team on key projects and initiatives.

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. Preferred certification designation:  Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) and/or Professional Human Resources (PHR) Certification designation.

Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience.

 

Skills

  • Experience in broad-based global compensation programs.
  • Experience in building and leveraging cross functional relationships with Human Resources, Finance and Legal.
  • Skilled knowledge of global compensation plans, laws, and regulations to include FLSA, EEO, 409A, and other wage and hour rules and regulations.
  • Skilled and working knowledge with HR/Payroll and Microsoft Office software applications, preferably with the SuccessFactors suite and salary planning platforms and tools.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Strong customer service presence and focus.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong process improvement and project management capability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated presentation/facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large quantities of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change while consistently meeting strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgement and discretion with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to attend calls to accommodate international time zones.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively both independently and as an integral member of various teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting to 20 pounds. Ability to travel up to 10%.
