TECHNICAL SERVICE ENGINEER UK

JOB SUMMARY

Provides a high level of technical service, according to established standards, within a defined territory

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Performs installations, preventive maintenance and repairs within assigned territory in compliance with Terumo BCT service expectations and processes.
  • Collect and store relevant data on appropriate Terumo BCT servers.
  • Handle all customer calls for technical issues and transmit non-technical questions to appropriate Terumo BCT personnel.
  • Assist with follow up on contracts being aware of expiration date and renewal progress.
  • Generate service business within the territory as appropriate and work closely with sales to ensure Terumo BCT’s presence in territory.
  • Responsible and accountable for all assigned company assets.
  • Complete administration and documentation per organization policy and procedures.
  • Work and collaborate effectively with colleagues, sales representatives, customer service representatives, clinical specialists, and customers.
  • Communicates technical findings to appropriate in-house personnel (e.g. product specialist, marketing, medical affairs, field implementation …).
  • Terumo BCT software systems installations and first line support in conjunction and coordination with the appropriate Terumo BCT personnel.
  • Performs any other additional duties or projects as assigned.
  • Coordination of non-contracted technical support (in conjunction with local sales consultant) .
  • Planning and programming of the scheduled preventive maintenance operations, installation and corrective maintenance within the assigned territory.
  • Occasional travel throughout UK and Ireland for meetings and to support colleagues.
  • Occasional travel abroad to attend technical training/ updates and meetings.

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Min. 3 years of technical higher education and/or equivalent of 5 or more years of applicable experience or min. 3 years as a Field Service Representative with a consistent high performances in healthcare sector.

 

Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience as a Field Service Representative, preferably in the healthcare sector

  • Desirable to have a demonstratable understanding of GMP systems.
  • Desirable, but not essential, to be a member of the Voluntary Register of Clinical Technologists.
  • Demonstrable evidence of Network systems and IT knowledge.
