JOB TITLE: PRODUCT SPECIALIST - UK

 

JOB SUMMARY

Working under direction from regional sales team (Account manager, Sales consultant, Senior account manager), is responsible to support blood center segment and therapeutic sales in designated area, through:

  • Leading implementation of Terumo BCT's technology platforms throughout designated region
  • Ensuring a smooth, fast and efficient transfer of technology from pre- sales to routine use at customer sites
  • Assisting the sales team in identifying and qualifying Sales Opportunities and assist in designing the solution
  • Providing customer training and support

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for implementation and routine use of designated products throughout designated region
  • Responsible for follow-up after in routine use with the customer and maintaining a high customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for application support from pre- sales to routine use of assigned technologies at customer site in close collaboration with sales to ensure seamless integration within the sales priorities
  • Provide implementation support for evaluations, validations, clinical & marketing studies with the aim of demonstrating competitive advantages or market acceptance of the product
  • Execute effective transfer of knowledge to external customers during trainings at the customer site and at centrally organized trainings, presentations at workshops/Succession meetings
  • Provide on-call and on-site operational troubleshooting  related to assigned technologies
  • Maintain high level of product knowledge in the technology to successfully demonstrate systems to external customers
  • Input in development & implementing of new customer training and  implementation tools & processes (e.g. e-tools for customer trainings)
  • During customer facing exercises, provide value based product information focusing on our differentiators and maximizing the utilization rate
  • Build strong working relationship with internal/external customers and distributors in order to achieve the goals related to the essential duties and responsibilities
  • Perform ongoing market assessment and customer specific technical needs, problems, and opportunities to increase sales
  • Ensure frequent communication and input to sales consultants and account managers to assure follow-up of identified sales leads
  • Identify the need for, and provides input to, improvements in protocols developed to support the use of Terumo BCT devices and applications
  • Provides input/feedback to marketing and product management to recommend changes in product design, manufacturing, quality and any other aspect of the product or service
  • Responsible for conducting in-service training
  • Sales process (design the solution): Assit the sales team in creating solutions arround the product, model the value proposition, validate with external stake holders. Assit the sales team in constructing the product differentiators and tie them to each of the personal wins of each buyer influencer in a designated area

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Bachelor in Life Sciences or Engineering or equivalent by experience

 

Experience

  • A first work experience in a similar role/ related industry
  • Knowledge of the medical device sector
  •  Experience understanding business products & therapy applications

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This position will be based in the country requiring the activities.
  • This position will report to the local Sales manager, technical service supervisor or local sales supervisor
  • Frequent travelling (up to 70%)
