As an Undergraduate Engineering Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience driving continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to analyze production data, identify process inefficiencies, and help implement practical solutions that improve quality, safety, and operational performance. You’ll build real-world skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and Lean principles while collaborating cross-functionally with teams across the organization. This opportunity is ideal for a junior or senior engineering student eager to apply classroom knowledge, develop technical and communication skills, and make a meaningful impact on real manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Performs planned work to accomplish project goals and provide experience and familiarization with engineering processes, independent thinking, and company practices and policies.
- Assists with analyzing data and produce reports or summaries as necessary. Communicates frequently with coworkers, customers, or vendors to discuss information or issues related to material properties and to clarify or obtain additional detailed information.
- Assists in developing solutions to routine and non-routine problems of intermediate complexity; interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to operating policies where appropriate.
- Assignments may require applying expanded engineering concepts and/or skill(s), as well as further development of these skills.
- Assists in accurate data entry into computer databases or company files.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Pursuing a degree in engineering, physical science or life science discipline.
- Must be enrolled and moving into your junior or senior year at the start of the new school year.
Experience
No prior experience required.
Skills
- Expanded knowledge of engineering or scientific processes.
- Ability to apply complex engineering or scientific concepts to support department or company projects.
- Ability to analyze problems, contribute to decisions, and assist in the design and implementation of solutions to resolve engineering or scientific issues that are intermediate to advanced in complexity.
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- General Labor Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and occasional lifting, up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.
