JOB TITLE: Carpenter / Painter
M-F 7am -3pm
JOB SUMMARY
Working under moderate supervision, maintains building systems throughout the site, assuring aesthetics and comfort levels for associates. Independently performs necessary and diverse installations, improvements, repairs, and maintenance to building systems and building structure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Expected to work at a high level of craftsmanship to maintain the campus. This would include, but not be limited to, proficiency in drywall repair, cabinetry, paint matching and application, and acoustical ceiling repair.
- Works with contractors and venders to gain estimates or quotes for services and material.
- Assists engineers, supervisors, and other trades associates by providing technical support to problem solving, new installations, and improvements or repairs to new or existing building systems. This includes evaluating buildings and systems for expected lifespan to plan for the business long range plan.
- Inspects own work and the work of lower-level trades associates and contractors for compliance to drawings, schematics, sketches, or verbal instructions.
- Selects and orders material or components of a significant monetary amount necessary for projects, repairs, and inventory.
- Abides by and adheres to all normal safety or security rules and regulations.
- Ability to work any shift, at any site, or overtime to meet objectives and schedules.
- Ability to participate in an “on call” after hours program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Requires significant experience in a variety of trades.
- Commercial work experience preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Requires framing knowledge and ability.
- Ability to install or repair Formica lamination and countertops.
- Ability to install floors or floor covering.
- Ability to install new or repair drywall to original finish.
- Requires knowledge in ceiling types with experience in installation and repair.
- Requires knowledge in asphalt overlay and concrete work.
- Requires experience in painting techniques and standards for the industry.
- Basic familiarity with plumbing and electrical

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- May require a specific license applicable to the assigned facilities area.
- Requires a valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Target Pay Range: $31.00 - $34.00 - Hourly pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 7.0
