JOB TITLE:  Peru Part time Field Service Engineer

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

Working under consultative direction and with supervision of the Technical Service Supervisor of Colombia and Perú. Accountable for attaining strategic goals, providing Technical Services in the territory of his responsibility, and providing technical and administrative support to customers.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

  • Strategic and Planning
    • Achieves technical services plans and objectives for his territory
  • Operational
    • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance procedures and unscheduled equipment maintenance on all equipment with a high degree of quality and reliability.
    • Performs the installation, and maintenance to all the equipment in his/her territory
    • Elaborates and sends regular reports of Service Orders, PM, Spare Parts Inventory, Capacity monitors.
    • Supports process optimization through proposal of changes to operating procedures, and maintenance activities.
    • Applies aptitude for mechanical and electrical repairs.
    • Implements permanent corrective actions to eliminate recurrent problems.
    • Follow the procedures of the company
  • Resource Management
    • Takes care and controls of the service parts inventory under his responsibility.
    • Performs documentation and regulatory recordkeeping responsibilities as defined in the standard operating procedures for equipment maintenance.
    • Works under direction of the supervision of the Technical Service Supervisor of Colombia and Perú, to achieve long range goals
    • Works cross-functionally within the Country Manager and Sales Representative in Perú

Support duties in Software Support

  • Review and test technical documentation such as installation guides, system requirements and specifications.
  • Document and provide written solutions to recurring problems.
  • Administration of Systems used for demonstration and support.
  • Provide Technical assistance to the Terumo BCT sales team

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Degree in Biomedical Engineer or equivalent, of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience:  

  • Requires practical and comprehensive knowledge typically gained through 2 to 4 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or automated systems.  Formal technical training a plus. 
  • Proven track record with customer interaction, both technical and non-technical from senior level management to department liaison.
  • Experience with Issue tracking systems.

 

Experience (nice to have):  

  • Minimum of 1 years experience of advanced diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in network LAN/WAN support.
  • Minimum of 1 years experience with Client/Server architecture support.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Certified technical training in TerumoBCT products that supports

 

Equipment:

  • PC, internet, Office, communication advance operation knowledge.
  • Must have basic understanding of programmable logic controllers

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

 

Requires the ability to carry out the physical requirements of the job including physical transport, lifting, pulling, twisting and operation of equipment.

May be required to work on other shifts and/or willing to be “on call” as needed.
