JOB TITLE: VP, Manufacturing



Will lead multiple manufacturing factories across the global Terumo BCT network. Will provide direction to align the organization’s strategic goals by formulating policies, optimizing resources and ensuring all business activities are in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations meeting the highest quality standards and customer expectations in the industry.



  • Lead the long term strategic vision for APAC & EMEA manufacturing to include the optimization of the regional footprint
  • Lead and direct Factory Directors at responsible locations in APAC and EMEA
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing business plans to improve Customer Service, improve Product Quality, Reduce Product Costs and Increase Employee Satisfaction
  • Provide strategic & business direction to responsible Factories
  • Will Drive Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence in responsible Factories
  • Collaborate and work cross functionally with other leaders to ensure the successful manufacturing of all product lines 
  • Partners with leaders in Quality and Regulatory to ensure regulatory compliance of plant operations
  • Assure all manufacturing activities are conducted according to applicable or the highest international quality standards
  • Provide critical input to the development of product strategy and research/development of new and emerging products
  • Maintain and evolve all required standard operating and regulatory procedures for areas of responsibility and ensure compliance
  • Generate budgets, schedules and deadlines ensuring they are met
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, teamwork and shared values
  • Proficient at developing talent and providing opportunities for growth
  • Member of Executive Operations Management Team (OEC), and may participate on other Business Area Management Teams

  • Master’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.MBA preferred



  • Minimum 10 years experience with related managerial/executive experience in medical device and disposables
  • Minumum 5 years experience leading multiple locations in dispersed geographies to include operations in APAC and EMEA; Asian manufacturing and China experience preferred



  • Demonstrated ability in business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for delivering high value products and services that meet real customer needs.  This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing operations, engineering, tactical execution, customer service, professional communications, cross functionality, computer applications, problem solving, strategic reasoning, teamwork, change management, business acumen and business ethics



An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.



Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
