Terumo BCT is a Global leader in blood management, blood safety, therapeutic apheresis, cell therapy and cell collections.  We have an opportunity for Technical Account Manager to join Terumo BCT- Larne Site to play a major part in our pre and post sales processes.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for CMO customers, responsible for ongoing account management.
  • Responds in a timely manner to product-related inquiries.
  • Documents customer needs and reports customer feedback.
  • Introducing new products to site; collaborates with R&D Team on project plans, budgets, and implementations.
  • Works closely with Larne R&D teams; supports management of product lifecycles with R&D Team. Acting as a bridge between internal team and customer stakeholders.
  • Monitors and achieves sales targets:
    • Generate necessary sales to meet or exceed sales goals and achieve appropriate sales prices. Track and analyze progress.
  • Identification and Qualification of sales opportunities with new and existing customers:
    • Confirms a financially viable opportunity through business profitability analysis/business case.
  • Designs the sales solution:
    • Creates, in collaboration with R&D, the optimal solution for the customer.
    • Creates, in collaboration with R&D and Finance, pricing and SOW.
  • Ongoing contract and account management:
    • Prioritizes accounts to determine coverage, assess opportunity and develop new business.  Prepares weekly and monthly plans, tracks and analyzes progress and trends, and prepares annual account sales plan.
  • Is responsible for CMO forecast input / SIOP management.
  • Leads QBR with top 3 CMO customers.

Gathers business & competitive market intelligence of global IV solutions. 

 

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales, R&D, Customer support, Customer operations, Product Development, Account Management or Customer success with proven technical expertise.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Able to maintain conversations with clients in a diplomatic and goal-focused manner.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy skills.
  • Able to monitor customer activity and create reports.
  • Knowledgable of sales process.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience.
  • Strong business & financial acumen.
  • Proven work experience as a Technical account manager is a plus.
  • Personal and Professional Development: Continuously increases and sharpens technical knowledge as well as continuously developing selling, negotiating and presentation skills .
  • Able to work additional hours as and when required.
  • Travel: Average once per year to other TBCT location and once per year EU congress attendance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work to strict deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills & open-minded.
  • Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent industrial experience within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
