Supply Chain Planning Lead

Terumo BCT is a Global leader in blood management, blood safety, therapeutic apheresis, cell therapy and cell collections.  We have an opportunity for a full-time permanent Supply Chain Planning Lead to join Terumo BCT- Larne Site. The successful candidate will manage, control and assume total accountability for the demand and supply planning for the Terumo BCT Solutions factory.

Duties will include:

  • Manage the S&OP monthly demand planning & forecasting process to support effective and appropriate factory scheduling while maintaining regional inventory targets.
  • Manage the fulfilment of the demand plan in association with operation and factory production capacity.
  • Drive effective order management processes to deliver OTIF (On-Time in Full) customer satisfaction.  Drive continuous improvement with a sharp customer focus.
  • Manage the planning and scheduling of the solutions factory to ensure production to plan and adherence to appropriate finished goods regional inventory levels.
  • Support weekly planning and shipping scheduling alongside logistics and 3PL functions.
  • Support effective production line capacity management, maximizing labour efficiency and minimizing production changeover activity.
  • Develop forecast accuracy controls and measures, working with regional and commercials teams to drive ongoing improvement plans.

Essential Criteria:

  • Third-level education
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar planning role
  • Knowledge of the maintenance of manufacturing inventory controls, finished goods safety stocks and related purchasing and logistics activities
  • Excellent MS excel skills with the ability to manage data and reporting through MRP/ERP systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and across global functions and time zones
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and rebalance when required
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to organize and facilitate manufacturing planning constraints
  • Resilient in achieving results by driving improvement plans and initiatives through teams.
  • Tactful and diplomatic whilst remaining assertive and persistent
  • Physically fit to carry out job and able to attend work on a regular basis
  • Able to work additional hours as and when required

Desirable Criteria:

  • A degree in a relevant manufacturing or business subject
  • Experience gained within a Regulated Manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing and global planning experience using SAP
  • IBP (Integrated Business Planning) deployment and implementation
