Terumo BCT Ltd - located in Larne, Co. Antrim - manufactures a range of sterile medical devices and drug products.  A vacancy currently exists for the following a Process Engineer to join our team.

Duties will include:

  • Development of new technologies, controls and systems from initiation to implementation.
  • Lead or participate in projects, working closely with Production, Maintenance and Quality departments.
  • Interfacing with equipment vendors to ensure successful equipment delivery and installation
  • Validation of processes and equipment including preparation and execution of validation protocols and generation of reports.
  • Analysis of process data including use of statistical process control techniques.
  • Generation of manufacturing documentation
  • Providing training to engineers, technicians and production personnel on operation and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Interfacing with Customers to ensure product and project timeline expectations are met.
  • Supporting product, platform and cost improvement programs
  • Supporting process and quality improvement initiatives

 

 

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related discipline or equivalent of education and experience enough to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • At least 5 years’ experience supporting industrial automated technologies.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes and technologies and designing for manufacturability
  • Experience gained within a production/manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Good time management and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines – (this role may necessitate working additional hours and/or shifts as and when required.

 

 

In addition, the following would be a distinct advantage:

  • Experience gained within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of GMP and Quality Assurance systems

Experience in process validation
