JOB TITLE: I&D COE Training Specialist



Works with the COE and engineering teams to develop, coordinate and deploy training programs for the global I&D (Innovation & Development) organization.  Work requires collaboration with subject matter experts globally to define and build content to meet global and local needs.  Training will be developed for in person classes and virtual learning including integration with LMS deployment. 



  • Work with all I&D across regions and departments to build and maintain effective and targeted training curricula and programs
  • Coordinate with training personnel and stakeholders across cross-functions (outside of I&D) to ensure I&D training is consistent and connected to partner functions’ training
  • Consult with I&D leaders, external training organizations and instructional designers to identify and apply best practices for curriculum/program structure, timing / frequency, knowledge uptake assessments and assignments
  • Consult with I&D organization globally to identify training gaps and set priorities for future training
  • Communicate training opportunities, schedule and coordinate training programs for I&D teams
  • Gather training suggestions and feedback to implement program improvements
  • Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques
  • Design, prepare, and order educational aids and materials
  • Build and maintain digital site for global I&D access to training calendars, curricula, and programs
  • Work with I&D teams to build formal training procedures and documentation for lab safety and proper use of lab equipment



  • Work with I&D leadership to establish consistent and effective onboarding processes for new I&D associates
  • Assist the LMS organization with development and documentation of standard and customized reports for relevant metrics to meet COE and I&D leadership needs
  • May assist in identification, creation, implementation, and maintenance of training for QMS policies and procedures
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals and results
  • May work with manufacturing and other functional groups including commercial, quality, and regulatory to develop relevant training content for I&D teams





  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered



  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, training and support
  • Preferred 3 years’ experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
  • Experience working with LMS (Learning Management Systems) preferred
  • Hands on experience coordinating training events in a corporate setting
  • Experience in a regulated industry with a quality management system preferred
  • Life-sciences, medical device, pharmaceutical or biomedical industry experience is a plus
  • Success in an internal customer support role

  • Ability to quickly learn new technical components and be able to generalize best practices from experience for use in a new environment
  • Strong ability to explain complex issues and discuss trade-offs of potential solutions in non-technical terms
  • Self-directed individual with strong motivation and willingness to take initiative
  • Attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and be able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong organizing and priority setting skills
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of associates
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Is action-oriented and is able to drive for results.
  • An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered



General Labor Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.

Target Pay Range:  $63,600.00 to $79,400.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
