  • Performs complex testing on new or existing products. Creates and modifies test procedures, as needed.
  • Inspects raw materials and assemblies using standard or custom tools, as applicable.
  • Builds and repairs equipment, as applicable.
  • Maintains, accurately follows, and records protocols/procedures and test logs. Responsible for performing to regulatory compliance as required.
  • Identifies a wide range of trends or problems and helps to solve or direct their solution and/or interprets and recommends actions. 
  • Collaborates and effectively interfaces with engineers in the design, development, and building of test fixtures, test protocols/procedures, monitoring strategies, or inspection results commensurate with experience level.
  • Performs technical, administrative, and logistical responsibilities in identifying work area needs.
  • Provides accurate recordkeeping. Records test data and uses software such as MS Excel to chart/graph and display data.
  • Assists more senior level technicians and engineers in performing product and process feasibility, verification and/or validation.
  • Will be required to provide database information to groups. 
  • Will be required to handle and work with Bovine or Human blood components using required PPE.  Requires ability to successfully complete training on bloodborne pathogens.
  • Will be required to handle, collect, label, and/or transfer hazardous chemical waste following established procedures and guidelines. Requires ability to successfully complete training on hazardous chemical waste.




  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Course work in the following is preferred: 
    • Advanced mathematics, statistics, metrology
    • Electronics


  • Minimum 5 years experience in a technical role, or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Experience in medical device industry preferred.
  • Requires skills and experience in design and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and/or software systems.
  • Experience in the Biological lab work preferred..


  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out tasks as directed and meet scheduled timelines.
  • Works safely with hand tools, power tools, rotating equipment and electricall energized equipment. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of state-of-the-art technology related to their function.
  • Ability to contribute to developing specifications, creating design drawings, and acquiring prototype parts as required.
  • Prefer skills and experience in biological laboratory processes.
  • May also prefer skills in CAD/CAM systems.
  • Will require using bovine or human blood for laboratory testing and ability to work safely with potentially hazardous and/or contaminated equipment using PPE.




An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.



General Labor Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.

Target Pay Range:  $58,500.00 to $73,200.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
