JOB TITLE: Security Supervisor
Shift: M-F/ 7AM-3PM
JOB SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, coordinates activities associated with continuous improvement of security operations. Assists in the development and implementation of new processes and systems to meet current and future needs in a rapidly changing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Manages and provides leadership for the functional group’s development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives to resolve complex problems.
- Works independently and with internal and external resources to identify problems, recommend solutions and execute changes to operating procedures as necessary.
- Delivers quality training modules to teams, assesses the learning impact, and modifies content/delivery accordingly.
- Creates, prepares, and maintains routine and special reports, and analyzes data for functional area.
- Participates and promotes subordinate participation on cross-functional and/or inter-organizational teams. Frequently leads such teams or task groups especially when the scope is broad and/or the issues complex.
- Stays current with industry trends including procedures, practices, and technologies.
- Interfaces regularly with internal and external customers to assess performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding emergency and security practices.
- Provides briefings on all security activities/incidents to management and escalates where appropriate.
- Acts as point of contact for emergency response personnel from local police, fire, and other government organizations.
- Provides timely and expedited response to a wide variety of emergencies including accidents, medical emergencies, severe weather, and building system failures.
- Serves as the on-duty coordinator of snow/ice removal during the winter months including initiating and directing activities of the snow removal contractor.
- Monitor and operate the fire/life safety and security systems for the campus.
- Multisite coverage including Lakewood and Littleton.
- Working supervisor role. Will work a shift in addition to supervisor responsibilities.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- May act as a company representative as required during inspections to include; OSHA, FDA, Fire Department, Insurance Audit, etc.
- Leads special projects at the request of management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Some college.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years experience.
- Previous experience as a supervisor is required.
- Previous experience in security or other first responder role preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to supervise across multiple shifts supporting 7-day business operations.
- Knowledge/understanding or basic accounting principles/financial impact.
- High-level of honesty, integrity, ethics, and professionalism is required.
- Acts as a liaison between the security team, security leads, and/or management on department initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability in developing, coaching, and training others in an organizational setting.
- Ability to make presentations to the business.
- Demonstrate effective negotiation skills.
- Positive, collaborative, proactive approach to problem solving and impediments.
- Planning skills to manage a diverse workload and establish workload priorities.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, inspecting own work and work of others for accuracy.
- Make both routine and non-routine decisions within established policies and procedures.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Receive and/or maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.
- A valid Driver’s License is required.
- CPP or PSP highly desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Manufacturing Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, and hand/finger dexterity.
- Must be able to work in a clean room environment, adhere to associated policies, and perform gowning of clean room attire in the allotted time prior to start up.
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transport up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.
- Requires good manual dexterity and visual acuity including ability to distinguish colors.
- Must be able to maintain pace with the assembly line.
- Requires the ability to regularly perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to work under florescent lighting.
- Requires the ability to bond using repetitive moderate force gripping.
- Requires the ability to sit or stand through the duration of a shift.

- Ability to operate associated tools and equipment required to perform functions of the job.

Target Pay Range: $67,100.00 to $83,900.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%
