Strategic Account Manager – Plasma Innovations

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for driving new business sales, expanding account potential, and managing high-impact relationships with large, strategically important customers. As the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, this individual will lead complex sales engagements with C-suite executives while also building trust and influence across all levels of the accounts organization. The ideal candidate offers a balance of strategic thinking and operational execution, with a strong emphasis on customer engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and revenue growth. The role reports to the Commercial Director – Plasma Innovations.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES


Strategic Account Management

  • Serves as the lead relationship manager for large strategically important accounts, ensuring alignment between customer goals and company solutions and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Acts as a central liaison across key functional areas to coordinate cross-functional efforts, ensures alignment of services, and delivers on customer expectations and operational requirements, including timely issue resolution.
  • Monitors account health and proactively address risks or service gaps.  Ensures contractual obligations are met.
  • Leads quarterly reviews and the development of strategies and annual plans for key customers.
  • Develops and maintains accurate sales forecasts for strategic accounts, leveraging market insights, historical data, and pipeline analysis to support business planning and revenue targets.

 

Sales Growth & New Business Development

  • Manages sales performance and profitability for assigned strategic accounts
  • Responsible for profit/loss, product margin, and managing sales for area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for assigned operational budget management.
  • Drives new business acquisition through targeted prospecting, solution selling and strategic account development.
  • Increases total account value by identifying opportunities to increase utilization and selling new or expanded service offering. 
  • Supports contract negotiations, including pricing, terms and service levels and drives high-value deal closures.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience

Requires a minimum of seven years of experience. Preferably a minimum of two years in a sales capacity for medical device or biotechnology.

 

Skills

  • Demonstrated effective leadership, problem-solving, and change management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and comfortably with medical professionals, sales teams, and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of success on complex, high-impact matters.
  • Deep understanding of sales strategies, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Solid business acumen, including working knowledge of accounting and financial analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Mastery of technical and industry knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Proficient in relevant PC software applications with the ability to use technology effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Target Pay Range:  $152,100.00 to $190,100.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  20.0%
