Strategic Account Executive– Plasma Innovations

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Strategic Account Executive is accountable for unlocking growth and strengthening partnerships with some of the organization’s most critical and complex customers. Acting as the primary executive interface for assigned accounts, this leader drives new business opportunities, expands the overall account value, and safeguards long-term relationships. They lead high-stakes commercial engagements with C-suite executives while cultivating trust and influence across all levels of the customer’s organization. The ideal candidate brings a proven ability to combine strategic vision with disciplined entrepreneurial execution, excelling in customer engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and value-driven growth. The role reports to the Commercial Director – Plasma Innovations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Enterprise Account Management

  • Develops and executes a plan to identify, engage, and influence key stakeholders (C-suite, , operational, procurement) across the customer enterprise.
  • Leads efforts to shape customer thinking and gain buy-in for new processes, innovations, and long-term partnership models.
  • Drives the process for resolving high-impact service or product issues that may affect trust, revenue, or compliance.
  • Acts as a central liaison with key internal stakeholders across functional areas to coordinate efforts, ensure alignment of services, and deliver on customer expectations and operational requirements, including timely issue resolution.
  • Leads quarterly reviews and the development of strategies and annual plans for key customers.
  • Develops and maintains accurate sales forecasts for strategic accounts, leveraging market insights, historical data, and pipeline analysis to support business planning and revenue targets.

 

Sales Growth & New Business Development

  • Understands and analyzes the customer’s economic drivers, cost pressures, and revenue streams to align solutions with their strategic priorities.
  • Manages sales performance and profitability for assigned strategic accounts
  • Responsible for profit/loss, product margin, and managing sales for area of responsibility.
  • Ensures internal processes (order fulfillment, logistics, quality systems) align to customer commitments.
  • Drives new business acquisition through targeted prospecting, solution selling and strategic account development.
  • Develops and maintains robust scorecards covering commercial, operational, and relationship health indicators.
  • Supports contract negotiations, including pricing, terms and service levels and drives high-value deal closures.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience

Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience. Preferably a minimum of two years within the plasma collection domain in a sales capacity for medical device or biotechnology.

 

Skills

  • Demonstrated effective leadership, problem-solving, and change management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and comfortably with medical professionals, sales teams, and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of success on complex, high-impact matters.
  • Deep understanding of sales strategies, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Solid business acumen, including working knowledge of accounting and financial analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Mastery of technical and industry knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Proficient in relevant PC software applications with the ability to use technology effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Target Pay Range:  $152,100.00 to $190,100.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Sales Incentive Plan: $68,000 target
