JOB TITLE: Sr Product Support and Training Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
Working without significant direction, designs, develops, and delivers customer focused training, with a focus on training lead regional trainers. Provides complex problem-solving services in a field environment. Provides clinical expertise and input to both upstream and downstream marketing projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Works within a regional/global environment to provide clinical support and training delivery for all Terumo BCT product applications.
- Maintains a traceable, expert-level competency in assigned applications.
- Works with training, support, and other departments to develop assessment and training tools to aid in the training of new clinical, implementation, and sales specialists, in-house associates, global distributors, and customers.
- Provides training, implementation, and support for the launch of new products.
- Delivers master level training for global Terumo BCT associates and customers.
- Performs an ongoing assessment of customers’ technical needs and problems as identified through call reports and input from field-based specialists.
- Documents and provides written solutions to recurring problems, including revising training tools and providing training.
- Performs ongoing market assessment of customers’ technical needs and problems.
- Identifies the need for protocols using Terumo BCT instruments.
- Supports regulatory requirements for transfusion medicine, therapeutic aphaeresis, and cell therapy.
- Works with therapy scientists to initiate and support clinical trials.
- Assists in clinical trials including design, site selection, training of site participants, and some clinical monitoring.
- Provides content expertise for operator manuals and product documentation required for worldwide implementation of Terumo BCT products.
- Provides design input, develops, validates, and implements support tools for troubleshooting and optimization of Terumo BCT products and applications.
- Support global regulatory requirements for transfusion medicine, therapeutics, and stem cell therapy.
- Contribute to the development and management of the curriculum, certification process, and annual competency assessments for internal and external customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that enables the successful performance of the job's essential functions will be considered.
Experience
Minium five years of experience in a technical training role, with a demonstrated ability to deliver and evaluate effective training programs. Healthcare training experience is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Skilled in administering, configuring, and maintaining Learning Management Systems (LMS), including user management, content upload, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to assess global customer needs, market trends, and competition within the context of product and business capabilities and the ability to translate this assessment into a workable strategy.
- Demonstrated ability and desire to teach. Demonstrated self-confidence and effectiveness in dealing with a wide variety of student types.
- Demonstrated success as subject matter expert in a new product launch.
- Ability to diagnose, understand, and solve complex system issues.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical material in a non-technical manner.
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Additional Requirements
- Some domestic travel is required up to 10%.

Target Pay Range: $93,900.00 to $117,400.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%
