In this Senior Manager role, you’ll lead the Lakewood and Littleton Manufacturing Plants along with the Global Supply Chain organization. Direct manufacturing experience is preferred; however, at the end of the day, we need a thoughtful and respectful HR professional who can engage at all levels and can effectively support the amazing talent within these teams that is truly the heart of the Terumo BCT business.
JOB SUMMARY
Leading Human Resources for the Global Supply Chain Organization & Lakewood & Littleton Manufacturing locations, this HR leader will initiate the development and implementation of core Human Resource systems, processes, programs, and plans to meet and support changing and ongoing business needs. The Sr HR Manager will set the strategic direction of the aligned facilities and with the support of a team of HR professionals will execute against this plan to include leading cross-functional teams, managing projects, and assuring their integration with all aspects of Human Resources, the business, and/or the corporation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Contributes to the strategic development of the Human Resources function by developing a progressive, business focused employee relations strategy that meets the current and future needs of the organization.
- Defines, designs, and implements positive employee relations programs, in consultation with relevant stakeholder groups, that lead to a more efficient and motivated workforce.
- Participates with peer-level leaders across the organization on major business initiatives.
- Manages the HR relationship with key members of the management team supporting and adding value across the business areas in pursuit of company objectives and global strategy.
- Working as part of a team, and individually, is proactively involved at all levels and in all functions to resolve organizational issues and impediments.
- Provides employment law related expertise and judgment.
- As a senior member of the HR team, participates and/or leads committees and teams dealing with a wide range of human resources topics and initiatives.
- Provides direction and manages both exempt and non-exempt HR professionals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Human Resources, including progressively more responsible management experience.
- Expert knowledge and experience in Employee Relations is required.
- Global HR experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience in design, planning, and implementation of innovative Human Resources and business plans and programs.
Skills
- In-depth working knowledge, experience and understanding of Human Resources including Employee Relations, HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, and Training and Organizational Development.
- Possess interpersonal savvy and managerial courage to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and management, as well as external resources.
- Strong process background and a track record of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated project management and priority setting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective teams which includes mentoring team members.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and utilize diplomacy and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.
- Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to deal with ambiguity to identify, define, and make timely, quality decisions.
- Requires perspective and an in-depth understanding of human motivation and organizational design and the ability to influence decision making in all functions and levels of the organization in this regard.
- Is action oriented and requires the ability to significantly influence the design and implementation of initiatives throughout the business.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of state and federal regulations/legislation in the Human Resources areas and the ability to apply this knowledge.
- Requires organizational agility and general business knowledge.
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Target Pay Range: $137,400.00 to $160,000 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 20.0%
