JOB SUMMARY

 

The Senior Manager, Global Talent Acquisition leads the design and delivery of scalable, compliant global hiring strategies while building talent acquisition capabilities to support future growth. This role enables consistent, high-quality hiring across regions by establishing effective processes, tools, and insights, and by delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. Partnering closely with business and HR leaders, the role leads a global Talent Acquisition (TA) team, supports executive and critical role hiring, strengthens employer branding, and advances modern recruiting practices through data, technology, and AI.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

   Strategic Talent Acquisition Leadership

  • Designs and executes global talent acquisition strategies aligned with business objectives and the talent priorities, ensuring the organization is positioned to attract and retain critical talent.
  • Establishes, standardizes, and scales global TA capabilities, including policies, processes, technologies, and skills, to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and HRBPs on workforce planning, critical hiring, and labor market insights.

 

Executive Hiring & Strategic Partnerships

  • Leads executive-level and other strategically critical hiring, working closely with senior leadership and external executive search firms. Identifies and utilizes leadership assessments to improve decision-making.
  • Builds and manages strategic external partnerships (e.g., executive search, RPO, job boards, labor market intelligence providers) to extend TA capabilities and access specialized talent markets.

 

Candidate Experience

  • Owns and elevates the end-to-end candidate experience, ensuring it is engaging, inclusive, and reflective of the organization’s Employer Value Proposition.
  • Partners with HR, Communications, and business leaders to activate and continuously strengthen employer branding in competitive labor markets.

 

Technology and Process Improvements

  • Leads the development and implementation of global TA policies, processes, tools, and resources to ensure consistent, high-quality, and efficient hiring practices across the organization.
  • Oversees the applicant tracking system (ATS) and TA technologies, including AI-enabled sourcing, screening, and analytics, to support scalable, data-driven recruiting.
  • Continuously monitors external market trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to modernize and advance talent acquisition capabilities.

 

Manager Enablement & Compliance

  • Builds and delivers education, training, and practical resources to enable hiring managers to effectively lead hiring activities compliant with legal and regulatory requirements globally.  

 

 

 

Data, Analytics & Insight

  • Analyzes and integrates talent acquisition data and hiring analytics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and inform broader HR decisions, including onboarding effectiveness and downstream talent outcomes.
  • Establishes clear metrics and dashboards to measure hiring quality, speed, experience, and compliance globally.

 

Leadership and Alignment

  • Leads and develops a Talent Acquisition team to deliver consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes and candidate experiences aligned to the EVP.
  • Partners with and provides subject-matter input to the Terumo Group COE and shared services organizations to define and shape global talent acquisition processes.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum 10  years of Talent Acquisition experience preferably a combination of corporate and search firm/agency experience.  
  • Minimum of 5 years managing a Talent Acquisition team in a global matrixed environment.
  • Proven experience managing ATS platforms and using recruiting analytics to drive outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in a global, highly regulated environment, preferably within medical device, life sciences, or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing recruiting processes, tools, metrics, systems management, vendor and applicant tracking systems and managing vendors/search partners/external associations.

Skills

  • Deep expertise in Talent Acquisition strategy, operations, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of medical device and scientific roles.  
  • Ability to drive change within the business and/or Human Resources organization globally.  
  • Ability to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high quality candidates.  
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing recruiting processes and strategies to meet business objectives.  
  • Strong understanding of OFCCP, EEO/AA regulations, diversity programs, and compliant hiring practices.
  • Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to identify, define, and solve problems rapidly.   
  • Project management skills and effective priority setting.  
  • Comfortable evaluating and adopting new technologies and innovative approaches to talent acquisition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting to 20 pounds.

 

Additional Physical Requirements

Domestic and International travel up to 5%

 

Target Pay Range:  $159,200.00 to $199,000.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  20.0%
