Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is hiring a Software Architect to join our Software Development Engineering team within the Innovation & Development department.


Software is at the heart of everything we do. It enables our medical devices to function — from changing disposable kits to running procedures — so that we can safely and effectively provide therapies and treatments to patients in need.   • Model system architecture, provide development teams with design artifacts and support development through implementation as the subject-matter expert.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products, services and processes and recommend major changes to existing ones.
  • Serve as a high-level individual contributor – have significant influence over technology assignments, interact with external customers and cross-functional teams, and present solutions to leadership.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience, especially with enterprise-scale mission critical applications, preferably with medical devices
  • API Design, SOA, REST, RPC and event-driven microservice architecture
  • Modern cloud platform and architectures, Azure preferred
  • Experience developing and maintaining deployments for CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent project management experience, leadership capabilities and management skills (decisive, resourceful) and teamwork oriented

Target Pay Range:  $127,100.00 to $168,000.00 -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  10.0%
