Provides support to Scientific Affairs and project teams in the conducting of research studies and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and established SOPs/processes. Associate has basic knowledge and skills in the performance of scientific research, and is capable of supporting related activities. Coordinates, implements, monitors, and documents research blood orders. Demonstrates ability to function independently and cooperatively and exercises judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions and resolving problems. Able to prioritize workload appropriately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs varied activities related to support research study preparation, execution and documentation as requested. Consults with Research Scientists on blood orders with preparation of and coordination with blood centers.
- Acts independently to perform activities related to blood procurement for scientific research as required by TBCT standard practices and FDA requirements.
- Responsible for preparing, documenting, tracking, and reconciling shipments to Lakewood campus or investigational sites. Maintenance of these various documents is defensible to the FDA. Works independently with sites, logistics, engineering, disposables, and scientific staff to ensure appropriate items are handled and shipped according to regulations, device requirements, and project time-lines.
- Serves as point of contact and communication liaison for site coordinators, laboratory personnel, and scientific leadership for issues related to research blood procurement.
- Maintains required records per record retention requirements, maintaining databases and archiving.
- Supports the development and maintenance of online and distributed content in accordance with Institutional Review Board requirements.
- Scan, enter and/or audit data for scientific and/or engineering studies using established databases and conform to Good Documentation Practices.
- Maintains SharePoint and shared folders/work locations for Scientific Affairs Department.
- Reviews and approves invoices to ensure alignment with contract payment terms.
- Serve as back-up for the bovine processing function, as needed.
- Other projects assigned within the scope of duties described above.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Associates degree preferred, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Experience
2 years work experience preferred. Knowledge of blood centers, medical devices and/or healthcare industry a plus.

- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, including MS SharePoint and MS Teams with ability to acquire skills in other company-specific platforms.

LOCATION
Lakewood, Colorado - Open to candidates willing to relocate to the area.

Target Pay Range: $23.00 to $29.00 - Hourly pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%
