Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is hiring a graduate Scientific Marketing Intern (part-time) to join our North American Regional Marketing team supporting our cell and gene therapy business. As part of the commercial organization, this team is responsible for increasing awareness and communicating the value of our devices and services for this new and exciting market.

The focus of this internship will be merging scientific research with marketing. This intern will be responsible for translating scientific articles and webinars into accessible and digestible content, with the purpose of highlighting the benefits and value of our cell therapy products and services.

 

Example projects may include:

  • Distill information to create data infographics (collaborate with creative agencies on the design)
  • Summarize scientific papers into a one-pager with key talking points
  • Develop and write case studies on the value of our products and services
  • Host product trainings with the sales teams to educate on key value offerings
  • Input scientific claims in TruSource marketing database

 

Skills and experience this intern will gain:

  • Industry and product knowledge related to cell therapy technologies
  • Understanding the commercial/marketing/data analytics side of scientific research
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and scientific teams
  • Build a portfolio of writing samples and marketing collateral

 

Internship Details

  • Duration: 4-6 months, starting as soon as possible
  • Part-time: Flexible hours based on candidate’s schedule
  • Option for remote or onsite work: Local Colorado candidates will have the option for a hybrid working arrangement (combination of onsite and/remote). Out-of-state candidates will also be considered for a 100% remote position.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Completed bachelor’s degree
  • Currently pursuing a scientific master’s or doctorate degree, preferably in biology, biotechnology, biosciences or bioengineering

Skills and Experience:

  • Has written literature reviews and summaries
  • Understands cell biology, cell and gene therapies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and is resourceful in seeking answers
  • Not afraid to ask questions to gain understanding and clarity

Target Pay Range:  $30.00 to $30.00 -  Hourly pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
