JOB TITLE: SAP S4HANA Master Data Governance Workstream Implementation Manager
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a results-driven S/4HANA Implementation Manager for Master Data Governance (MDG to lead the strategic design, execution and governance of data as part of our global SAP S/4HANA business transformation program. This leadership role will lead the enterprise-wide data migration and governance strategy workstream ensuring clean, trusted data are embedded into the new digital core. This role will report to the overall SAP S4 Program Leader.
Required Experience:
The ideal candidate has successfully led an ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA transformation for the Master Data Governances workstream in a global, highly regulated environment. Proven experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional ERP programs with discipline, urgency, and a focus on measurable business value is essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Own the Master Data workstream within the broader SAP S/4HANA program.
- Manage planning, resourcing, timelines, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment for this domain.
- Serve as the central point of coordination between business functions, data teams, system integrators, and technical teams
- Define and oversee the enterprise data governance framework for core master data domains (e.g., customer, vendor, material, finance, BOMs, routings).
- Drive standardization and harmonization of master data across business units, geographies, and legacy systems.
- Manage the full data lifecycle including cleansing, enrichment, validation, and loading into SAP S/4HANA.
- Ensure data quality and ownership processes are embedded in business-as-usual post go-live.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure global alignment and buy-in across the organization.
- Interface with all levels of management to provide strategic and tactical advice on project planning execution, change management and keep leadership well informed.
- Tracks status and metrics on the project delivery and value; escalates to functional management upon identification of deviations (or potential deviations) from plan and budget.
- Monitors program progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Resolves and/or escalates program-related issues in a timely fashion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data, reporting, or analytics roles, with at least 2–3 years in a program management capacity.
- Minimum 1 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA transformation project with a focus on data migration, MDM.
- Strong understanding of SAP master data objects and structures (Business Partner, Material Master, Chart of Accounts, etc.).
- Familiarity with ETL/data migration tools (e.g., SAP BODS, LSMW, SAP Data Services, or third-party equivalents).
- Proven experience managing large, cross-functional teams and working with SI partners.
- Expertise in Agile, Hybrid, or SAP Activate methodologies.
SKILLS
- Familiarity with tools such as SAP Information Steward, SAP MDG, SAP Signavio, or SAP Data Intelligence.
- Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and security regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Strong business acumen and experience working with executive leadership.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
SAP certifications in Master Data Governance preferred

Target Pay Range: $152,500.00 to $190,600.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 20.0%
