JOB TITLE:  - SAP S4HANA Finance Workstream Implementation Manager

 

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Implementation Manager to lead the Finance workstream of our S/4HANA business transformation. This role will serve as a subject matter expert and delivery leader for Finance, Controlling, and related functions, ensuring successful implementation of SAP’s next-generation digital core for Finance. This role will report into the overall SAP S4 Program Leader.

 

Required Experience:
The ideal candidate has successfully led an ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA transformation for a Finance workstream in a global, highly regulated environment. Proven experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional ERP programs with discipline, urgency, and a focus on measurable business value is essential.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Lead the end-to-end Finance workstream for the SAP S/4HANA program, covering areas such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), and Financial Planning.
  • Lead 4 in a box teams (function workstream, IT and system integrator) throughout program milestones and deliverables.
  • Design and implement S/4HANA Finance solutions aligned with best practices, including Universal Journal, Central Finance (if applicable), and new reporting capabilities using Fiori and embedded analytics.
  • Conduct Fit-to-Standard workshops to analyze business requirements and define the global To-Be finance processes.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, and Compliance teams to ensure all financial processes and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Align the Finance solution with adjacent areas like Procurement, Sales, etc.
  • Support the finance data migration strategy including chart of accounts harmonization, open item migration, and asset legacy data load.
  • Oversee configuration, testing, and deployment of finance processes, ensuring system integrity and performance.
  • Coordinate with system integrators, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver a cohesive transformation roadmap.
  • Manage change management, training, and adoption initiatives for finance users globally.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit, and security standards within the S/4HANA environment.
  • Skilled in the concepts of GxP & ISO Validation Protocols
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure global alignment and buy-in across the organization
  • Interface with all levels of management to provide strategic and tactical advice on project planning execution, change management and keep leadership well informed.
  • Tracks status and metrics on the project delivery and value; escalates to functional management upon identification of deviations (or potential deviations) from plan and budget.
  • Monitors program progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Resolves and/or escalates program-related issues in a timely fashion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems.
  • 8+ years of SAP experience, including at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation in the Finance domain.
  • Strong expertise in SAP FI and CO modules, including new S/4HANA capabilities such as Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Fiori apps, and real-time reporting.
  • Working knowledge of parallel ledgers, group reporting, and intercompany processes.
  • Familiarity with financial consolidation, planning tools (e.g., SAC or BPC), and integration with external reporting systems.
  • Understanding of key finance processes including P2P, O2C, R2R, and project accounting.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology and Agile/Waterfall hybrid project delivery.

 

SKILLS

  • SAP S/4HANA Finance certification (e.g., TS4F01/02 or equivalent).
  • Experience with Central Finance or S/4HANA Group Reporting.
  • Familiarity with IFRS, GAAP, and global tax regulations.
  • Exposure to finance automation tools (BlackLine, Vertex, etc.) and reporting tools (SAC, BW/4HANA).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to analyze complex data

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

SAP certifications in Finance  preferred

Target Pay Range:  $152,500.00 to $190,600.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  20.0%
