Marketing Manager

 

JOB SUMMARY

Working without significant direction, provides marketing strategy support for the North American market by meeting annual plan objectives, driving marketing communication strategies, measuring performance, developing sales tools, and problem resolution in the region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Working with a high degree of independence and without significant direction, translates customer needs and problems into marketing tactics, programs/campaigns, sales, or customer training, develop and design objectives with clear KPIs.  
  • Coordinates efforts with corporate communications, legal, regulatory, sales, and other functional areas to produce marketing programs and materials that increase sales velocity and enrich the customer experience.
  • Duties involve multiple projects of considerable complexity, which have a significant financial impact. Be able to prioritize, navigate the matrix to include key stakeholders to complete tasks and projects successfully on time and on budget.
  • Establishes and is held accountable for KPIs associated the marketing strategy, including driving accountability for tactics that are part of the regional strategy, but marketing may not be responsible for. For example, medical affairs or training tactics.
  • Collects and analyzes competitor information to translate into how we might respond with our marketing strategy.
  • Coordinate launch and post-launch activities, including development of sales, marketing, and training materials.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and presents educational events for customers and sales personnel.
  • Assist customers in the optimal use of products, drive marketing programs for services and digital solutions as part of portfolio of offerings. Where applicable design and launch new services where appropriate to create new customer and company value.
  • Manages assigned product lines including awareness of product inventory, manufacturing or quality problems, and application issues. 
  • Manage key relationships with professional associations, centers of excellence customers, and KOLs.
  • Share market insights with internal partners for input into longer term strategies.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize lead nurture programs, partner with sales to improve quality and quantity of leads.
  • Monitors and analyzes indicators of marketing program performance such as cost per lead, lead conversion, and makes recommendations for channel optimization and new marketing solutions.
  • Develops and implements marketing strategies for new products or product enhancements to ensure market adoption.  Coordinates pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities.
  • Works closely with the sales organization and marketing managers to successfully identify business opportunities, support tools, and new marketing programs in a timely and high-quality manner. Works closely with internal stakeholders to launch marketing programs and materials such as regulatory, marketing communications, legal, and more.
  • Provides direction on the design and implementation of promotion, sales force collateral, and customer communication materials to ensure consistency with customer’s needs and the system selling approach.  Evaluates communication and documentation programs and support tools for effectiveness through customer and sales force feedback as well as objective research.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience

 

Skills

  • Knowledge of marketing principles, with demonstrated expertise in translating customer needs into marketing strategies, solutions, and programs to meet organizational objectives.
  • Ability to coordinate internal teams and external agencies in executing key marketing messages, marketing materials, communications, marketing campaigns, trade show communications, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively while driving results.
  • Extensive knowledge of sales/marketing annual planning and program management.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems with creativity and good judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
  • Experience in cell and gene therapy and/or medical devices is very desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with scientists and other technical professionals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Domestic and occasional international travel.

Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $89,800.00 to $112,300.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
