Working without significant direction, supports Quality Management through advanced level activities requiring broad business knowledge around Post Market Controls.  Performs a broad range of tasks which may include research, architecture planning, analysis, design, validation, maintenance, support, training, and implementation of Quality Systems, Policies, and Procedures to ensure compliance to all applicable regulations for Terumo BCT products with respect to QMS Post Market Controls-Complaints Management, Field Actions and Post Market Surveillance.  The primary responsibility of the position is to ensure compliantly effective and organizationally efficient implementation of Global QMS Post Market processes and use of applicable



  • Leads Global Process for QMS Post Market Controls, consistent with company, regulatory and professional standards, through monitoring, continuous improvement, and implementation of training.
  • Serves as expert and main point of contact for global regulations, standards, and processes within QMS Complaints Management, Field Actions and Post Market Surveillance.
  • Defines the overall QMS Post Market strategy, including training assignment strategy for all processes and products.
  • Works with quality management, manufacturing, engineering, and other functional groups on regulatory and quality system compliance issues.  Develops or participates in the development of solutions to problems of intermediate to high complexity. 
  • Performs varied quality/regulatory activities such as developing and implementing plans and procedures to comply with applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations. 
  • Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to operating policies where appropriate.  Modifies, updates, and executes established programs to achieve and maintain a state of compliance.
  • Contributes to or leads projects for the timely completion of corrective actions.
  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of the Quality System.
  • Provides support to the internal and external audit program.
  • Leads and participates in continuous improvement.


  • Facilitates and leads activities required to support the continuous improvement of QMS Post Market Controls changes.
  • Develops process workflow and procedure improvements to deploy, teach and coach global teams.
  • Responsible for communication and coordination with business functions, global QMS teams, via Site Process Owners and Site Leadership for implementation of process and applicable technology changes.
  • Effectively manages, resolves and/or escalates QMS-related implementation and/or global interpretation issues in a timely fashion for quick resolution.
  • Delivers purposeful, well-organized presentations on changes, issues, resolutions and forward-thinking vision for QMS Post Market Controls processes and associated supporting technology.
  • Effectively works with all Global Process Owners to ensure a seamless QMS implementation, interpretation and understanding by the Terumo BCT organization.
  • Develops and maintains metrics for QMS Post Market Controls that support the business and management review needs.





Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.



  • Minimum 5 years experience.
  • Knowledge and experience interpreting and applying global regulations and standards for Quality Management System.
  • Demonstrated experience working with, influencing and or leading global teams.
  • Experience in Post Market Controls (Complaints Management, Field Actions and Post Market Surveillance) desired



  • Able to orchestrate multiple activities at once under limited direction.
  • Experience in process mapping.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA, MDR and ISO regulations preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing on a global basis.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing protocols, statistical tools and methodology, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proven project leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in technical writing.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.



An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.



Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $76,100.00 to $95,200.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
