The Indirect Procurement Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, optimizing processes and ensuring efficiency across various functions to meet organizational goals. This role is responsible for managing the company’s procurement platforms and tools, championing sourcing and procurement best practices, and enhancing metrics collection and reporting.

The Indirect Procurement Operations Manager should be comfortable communicating with people throughout the organization, able to solve problems and be adept at estimating and managing time for a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
The Indirect Procurement Operations Manager should understand the market for all categories of goods & services; have a thorough understanding of strategic sourcing, the bidding process, proposal evaluations, negotiations, awards, and post-award contract and supplier management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day activities of the department, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. Develop and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and compliance metrics across procurement activities.
- Process Documentation: Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance systems and processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Document current and future state process flowcharts, communication plans, and training materials to inform stakeholders across the organization.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor staff, fostering a high-performance culture and conduct performance appraisals. Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Service Quality / Standards: Ensure the quality of service meets established standards and expectations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, HR, legal, compliance, and technology to ensure cohesive operations and clear communication.
- Strategic Planning and Growth: Contribute to the strategic direction and growth objectives of the department by formulating operational objectives that align with overall business goals.
- Customer Service: identify and implement strategies to improve customer service and satisfaction.
- Spend Analysis and Cost Control – Use data analytics and procurement software to identify spending trends, reduce inefficiencies, and uncover cost-savings opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
- Supervisory experience managing and motivating associates.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in indirect procurement operations, purchasing, and/or sourcing in a high-growth or complex environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and deploying procurement processes and tools.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams, with a strong ability to develop and mentor direct reports.
- Proficiency in procure-to-pay platforms and technical applications required for operational effectiveness across all procurement functions including SAP, ServiceNow, PowerBI, Microsoft Office Suite, and other analytics and reporting tools.
- Project Management skills.
- Experience working in a global organization.
Skills
- Sourcing & Procurement Knowledge: Full understanding of all aspects of indirect procurement process, including tendering, contracting, negotiations, supplier selection, and payments.
- Leadership skills: strong leadership and managerial skills to influence, motivate and guide associates effectively.
- Analytical skills: ability to analyze data and reports to inform operational strategies, ability to research information, problem solve and make well-informed recommendations.
- Problem-Solving skills: proficient in identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.
- Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and team members across the globe.
- Operational excellence: Lean, Six Sigma, or similar knowledge preferred.
- Flexibility: Ability to handle changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with periods of occasional heavy workload.
- Work Ethic: Adherence to ethical standards in procurement practices. Self-motivated team player, who can work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Change Management experience.

Lakewood, Colorado or Remote - Open to candidates willing to relocate to the area.

Target Pay Range: $112,400.00 to $140,400.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 10.0%
