Global Operations Six Sigma Leader
JOB SUMMARY
As the Global Operations Six Sigma Leader, you will serve as the Six Sigma subject matter expert under the Global Terumo Operational Excellence Program for Global Operations. This role is responsible for deploying and sustaining the global Six Sigma approach aligned to the OpEx Playbook, ensuring that DMAIC, statistical problem solving, project governance, and certification standards are applied consistently across the global operations network.
As a key member of the Global Operational Excellence Team, you will strengthen problem-solving capability, improve project execution, and coach local OpEx leaders, Black Belts, Green Belts, and project teams. You will partner with manufacturing and non-manufacturing leadership, engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, finance, and other cross-functional teams to build practical and scalable improvement capability that delivers measurable results in cost, quality, service, safety, and productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Lead the global Six Sigma strategy under the Global Terumo Operational Excellence Program for Global Operations, including training, coaching, certification standards, project selection, project execution, and sustainment.
- Serve as the global Six Sigma subject matter expert and Black Belt for Global Operations, partnering with local OpEx Leaders, Black Belts, Green Belts, and project owners to strengthen problem solving and project delivery.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and factory leadership teams to identify, prioritize, and execute improvement projects that deliver measurable results in cost, quality, service, safety, productivity, scrap reduction, yield improvement, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure Six Sigma projects are set up for success by consistently applying the DMAIC approach, establishing appropriate project reviews and stage gates, tracking project health, and validating that benefits are measured, documented, and sustained.
- Develop and maintain the global Six Sigma training pathway, including DMAIC, stage gate reviews, project templates, coaching routines, and certification requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- Master degree degree preferred.
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required through an established Certification body (ASQ or similar)
- High proficiency in Minitab or other statistical data experience tools required.
- Lean, statistical analysis, change management, project management, or other continuous improvement training required.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading business, operational, Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or cross-functional improvement initiatives, including coaching, training, and mentoring associates in DMAIC, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving methods to deliver measurable results in cost, quality, and service.
- Experience using data analysis and statistical tools to evaluate process performance, reduce variation, validate root causes, develop meaningful metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization, from shop floor teams to senior leadership, across global audiences.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, influencing, and change management skills, with the ability to lead teams through new ways of working without direct authority.
- Strong analytical, project management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, remove barriers, and deliver results in a global manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Target Pay Range: $69,250.00 to $86,550.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 20.0%
