JOB TITLE: Operational Excellence Site Lead
JOB SUMMARY
The Operational Excellence (OpEx) Site Lead is responsible for deploying and maturing the existing TBCT OpEx Framework within the local plant. This role focuses on embedding the guiding principles, behaviors, systems, and tools outlined in the TBCT model to drive sustainable improvements in cost, quality, service, and employee engagement. The OpEx Site Lead will work closely with plant leadership, local cross-functional teams, and Global OpEx Leader to build a culture of continuous improvement that aligns with our global standards while addressing local needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Lead the OpEx team through the implementation of the TBCT OpEx Framework locally, ensuring adherence to its guiding principles and systems while delivering YoY improvements in Cost, Quality, Service, and People.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, educating and coaching plant personnel at all levels on the “why” behind the principles and the “how” of applying them.
- Use OpEx methodologies to align efforts to factory goals and guide and prioritize improvement efforts.
- Drive measurable improvements using standard tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, DMAIC, PDCA, SMED, Total Productive Maintenance, and other CI tools.
- Embed and sustain systems like Daily Management, Gemba Walks, and Behavior & Results Assessments in line with TBCT expectations.
- Partner with plant leadership to translate the OpEx roadmap into actionable local plans and support their execution.
- Build associate capability through hands-on coaching, OpEx training, and facilitation of improvement activities.
- Assess maturity against TBCT’s OpEx maturity assessments, identify gaps, and lead actions to close them.
- Work with manufacturing and other functional groups on manufacturing and regulatory compliance issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience as process, industrial, manufacturing engineer, or similar in a medical device environment.
- Training or Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement training
- Master of Engineering or Business degree preferred.
Experience
- Experience implementing structured OpEx or CI frameworks in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and the improvement methodologies.
- Ability to coach, influence, and align diverse teams around a shared improvement strategy.
- Demonstrated success in using OpEx tools and systems to drive measurable business results.
- Demonstrated experience teaching continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficiency in organizing and leading teams to drive continuous improvements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Target Pay Range: $99,500.00 to $124,300.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%
