Materials Planning Manager

 

JOB SUMMARY

As a master planner, your job duties include managing inventory to maintain appropriate levels and coordinating the availability of raw materials for the production process.

The Materials Planning Manager will oversee the planning, storage, control, and global distribution of materials according to company needs and customer requirements. This position can be in Lakewood, Colorado or Cartago, Costa Rica.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Directs procurement, inventory control, and materials storage.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed master material plans for the product lines to use in driving Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and planning production capacity to support SOP
  • Develop and maintain necessary records and documentation in compliance with ISO system requirements
  • Aligns RM Inventory and procurement planning, and scheduling based on FG sales forecasts.
  • Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
  • Ensures accuracy of the inventory system.
  • Works with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
  • Thorough and in-depth knowledge of ERP Systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning
  • Creating and maintaining detailed master material plans for the product lines to use in driving Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and planning production capacity to support SOP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field or related experience required.
  • Five years of experience in materials control field required.
  • Travel 10-20%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Some travel may be required.

 

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $95,100.00 to $118,900.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  10.0%
