JOB TITLE: Manager, Market Development - Cell & Gene Therapy - North America & Europe

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Market Development Manager (MDM) for Cell & Gene Therapy is responsible for developing, executing and measuring multi-channel marketing and communication strategies, programs and campaigns using multi-channel approach to support global business objectives based on need and customer segment. The MDM exhibits strong organization, management and prioritization skills, as well as outstanding client judgement and business acumen. The MDM works collaboratively with marketing communications managers, as well as internal and external writing and design professionals, to achieve on-target digital solutions to meet the business objectives.

This role understands business area strategies and objectively evaluates and communicates cross-business constraints, requirements, risks and opportunities to execute against measured results. The MDM also advises on multi-channel strategies, plans and leads digital execution, and contributes to conceptual creative development —including digital strategies, tradeshow presence and webinars. The MDM remains focused on developing and optimizing digital/inbound strategies for business areas, segments and regional programs, which may include web, SEO, email and social media.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Responsible for supporting the development of delivering on regional multichannel marketing and communications programs for different market segments within North America and Europe based on product/region marketing strategies and in line with company strategy to drive short and long-term business objectives.
  • Execute and manage multichannel solutions for:
    • Marketing Campaigns
    • Lead Generation
      • Develop and optimize lead generation and lead nurturing workflows
    • Demonstrate proficiency and deliver on multichannel programs leveraging the following components:  Strategic plans for achieving marketing goals, Buyer personas, Email, Web, paid social media, Video, Tracking and analyzing data, A/B testing, Keyword research and Content SEO, SEM
  • Partner with the Senior Marketing Development Managers to develop marketing strategies, campaigns, and deployment of assets
  • Map user journeys to ensure journeys flow and gain user acceptance
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure campaigns achieve company goals
  • Review existing marketing campaigns across other regions and consult on strategy and content
  • Work with cross functional teams (such as sales and R&D) to support the development and execution of content marketing strategies, translating customer objectives, needs and problems into relevant communications supported by data
  • Generate reports, monitor and analyze content success using Salesforce and other metric tools, and make recommendations to change to increase effectiveness

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Partner to implement programs to track effectiveness of marketing communications programs
  • Ability to analyze data and make real-time campaign recommendations
  • Ability to assemble data from multiple sources (Salesforce, Marketing Automation Analytics, 3rd Party Reports, Social Media Reports) and provide a 360 view of campaign results.
  • Set up tracking parameters across campaigns
  • Develops and implements tradeshow strategies, including the promotion pre-, during, and post-event
  • Analyzes tradeshow performance metrics to determine success
  • Research alternative tradeshows for event mix and prioritization
  • Develops lead generation campaign flows and nurturing campaigns in Oracle Eloqua.
  • Reviews lead funnel, opportunity funnel, and regional financial numbers to assess campaign efficacy.
  • Oversee Digital Production staff implementation of paid social media campaigns via Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Consult with other Marketing team professionals to provide training, recommendations and/or assist in campaign builds.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital marketing or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience, with demonstrated experience in digital/interactive marketing (email, web, social media), campaign/demand generation experience, and proficient project management knowledge and success

 

Skills

  • Proven analytical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems and develop programs
  • Broad understanding of traditional and emerging channels
  • Broad knowledge of marketing best practices in B2B field
  • Ability to write and speak effectively and clearly articulate the team’s solutions in terms of the client’s business goals
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Demonstrated grasp of social media, web metrics and analytics tools
  • Ability to assemble data from multiple sources (Salesforce, Marketing Automation Analytics, 3rd Party Reports, Social Media Reports) and provide a 360 view of campaign results
  • Knowledge of and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Driven for results and highly accountable for commitments
  • Sensitivity to diverse, global and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a collaborative work culture with strong interpersonal skills and comfort in a team setting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Domestic and occasional international travel.

Target Pay Range:  $125,300.00 to $156,600.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
