Manager, HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors)
JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of HRIS is responsible for providing knowledge and oversight of the global Human Capital Management (HCM) system (SuccessFactors, branded mySource) for Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards & HRIS, this key role will impact the evolution of the Human Resources function through the development, enhancement, and management of the HCM system. This includes leading the HRIS administration team and collaborating with global HR (HR Business Partner Team, Recruiting, Talent & Organizational/Learning Development, Total Rewards), payroll/finance, IT functions, and third-party vendors.
This role will define and lead team processes such as project and release management, testing/troubleshooting and data flow, and change management. In addition, this role will manage the research and development response plans to government compliance reporting (specifically US Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity programs) along with the company’s relationship with system vendors as the primary point of contact for service level agreements and issue resolution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Manages the HCM system release processes. Align and prioritize HRIS initiatives, define a change request intake process to prioritize requirements and create a process to define release scope.
- Defines and manages a full system testing strategy. This includes managing multiple “test” environments, creating test plans, and managing a library of test scripts for all modules.
- Creates strategy for change management and communication to support long term system adoption.
- Creates partnerships with business owners and provides consultation on process improvements, releases, innovative solutions, process changes, reporting administration, and validation processes.
- Defines global data integrity processes and audits, including adherence to global data standards. Works with regional HR to develop action plans focused on continuous improvement of data integrity in accordance with data privacy laws.
- Monitors adherence to system procedures and processes; coaches, trains, educates in areas of non-compliance.
- Creates, analyzes, and maintains complex reports to assist HR, Talent & Analytics, and Business Leaders.
- Manages the system for global process alignment on use of the HCM system.
- Defines and maintains process to create and manage requests for various ad hoc reports and ensures data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manages security tables and access to HCM data.
- Oversees the training for users on system operations, including preparation of user manuals and the delivery of training.
- Managers/Leads projects ensuring integration with all respective functions, as appropriate.
- Managers government compliance reporting and submission in support of the US Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity. Verifies accuracy of EEO coding and identifies anomalies requiring corrective action.
- Provides leadership and coaching to the HRIS administration Team and provides guidance for professional development. Manages workload of assignments to ensure deadlines are met and that team members develop a breath of knowledge and experience in multiple modules/programs.
- Operates as a member of the Global Total Rewards (Compensation, Health & Wellness, Mobility, and HRIS) Team and provides contributions to all areas, as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. Preferred certification designation(s): Human Resources Information Program (HRIP, SAP SuccessFactors Associate, SAP SuccessFactors Professional, and/or Professional Human Resources (PHR).
Experience
Minimum seven (7) years of experience with one (1) year supervisory experience; five (5) years of experience working with SAP SuccessFactors domain and processes, implementing SuccessFactors modules including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and final solution rollout.
- Expert level experience with SAP SuccessFactors modules preferred, including Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance Management and Goal Management, Compensation or On-boarding.
- Expert level experience implementing and/or upgrading a HCM system.
- HCM software applications and products especially SAP SuccessFactors system administration.
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR processes and how they impact HR systems.
- Skilled ability to analyze issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with ability to provide service and remain focused.
- Requires a strong computer background (systems and software), previous experience as a systems administrator, preferably.
- Must have experience with HR/Payroll and Microsoft Office software applications, preferably with the SAP SuccessFactors suite.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects.
- Strong process improvement and project management capability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated presentation/facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to use good judgement and discretion with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and manage a remote team and in a global environment across all levels of the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting to twenty (20) pounds. Ability to travel up to 20%.

Target Pay Range: 110,000 to 140,000 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 15.0
