Manager, Compliance Program 

 

Position Summary

Working under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer (or designee), the Manager, Healthcare Compliance, is responsible for supporting and advancing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of global and regional compliance programs focused on the North America (“NAMER”) region.

This role focuses on interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs), Government Officials (GOs), and external funding activities, ensuring alignment with applicable company policies, procedures, and industry codes of ethics (e.g., AdvaMed Code).

The Manager, Compliance Program NAMER serves as a trusted advisor to the business, providing practical, risk-based guidance on commercial and medical activities while fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct. This position will be based in Lakewood, Colorado.


Key Responsibilities

Compliance Program & Advisory

  • Provide compliance guidance to business partners on HCP/HCO/GO engagements, external funding, and related activities in the NAMER regio
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of compliance processes and internal controls
  • Identify compliance risks and develop practical, business-oriented mitigation strategies
  • Support data privacy initiatives impacting the NAMER region;

Program Implementation

  • Support the review, development, and implementation of NAMER compliance policies, procedures, and process
  • Develop NAMER guidance documents and job aids to facilitate consistent application of requirements
  • Implement systems, software, and processes in NAMER as a component of the global compliance program
  • Support governance forums, including Global and NAMER Compliance Committees

Transparency & Reporting

  • Collaborate with Finance and local stakeholders to collect, validate, and report transfer of value data
  • Ensure timely submission of transparency reports in accordance with the US Open Payments Act,

Training & Engagement

  • Assist in designing and executing an annual NAMER compliance training plan aligned with global priorities
  • Deliver targeted training programs based on risk exposure and role-specific needs
  • Measure training effectiveness and report on participation, comprehension, and impact
  • Identify and implement innovative tools and technologies to enhance learning

Data, Monitoring & Auditing

  • Collect, analyze, and report compliance data to support audits and monitoring activities
  • Generate management reports for senior leadership and governance bodies
  • Track progress against the annual compliance plan and key performance metrics

Systems & Tools

  • Support implementation and maintenance of compliance-related systems, including:
  • Contracting and approval systems
  • HCP engagement and monitoring systems
  • Fair market value tools
  • Third-party due diligence platforms
  • Training and reporting systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical, Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams to support compliance initiatives
  • Coordinate with other regional compliance personnel to ensure alignment and strategic direction are maintained and fostered
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across regions and functions

Reporting

  • Supports the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer in timely preparing dashboards including data points on compliance activities and compliance program effectiveness.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned

 

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Juris Doctor preferred

Experience

  • 3-6 years of experience in EMEA compliance, legal, or related function within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
  • Strong familiarity with NAMER healthcare compliance frameworks and transparency requirements.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to translate complex compliance requirements into practical guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in relevant compliance and data management systems
  • Tech savy

Certifications

Compliance certification (e.g., CHC, CHPC) preferred

License to practice law in one U.S. state preferred


Physical Requirements

Typical office environment including sitting, walking, speaking, and computer use; occasional lifting up to 20 pounds

 

 

 

Target Pay Range:  $79,500.00 to $99,400.00 -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0
