As a Laboratory Scientist 2 - Quality Labs, you’ll design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, and help drive compliance with regulatory and quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Working cross‑functionally with customers, industry partners, and internal teams, you’ll develop and validate analytical methods, support investigations and audits, and help shape laboratory procedures and best practices. This role offers the opportunity to independently lead meaningful scientific and technical projects in a regulated laboratory environment, combining hands‑on research with real‑world impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Interfaces with industry representatives and customers on routine matters.
- Helps to develop and implement plans and procedures to comply with applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations. Modifies, updates, and executes established programs to achieve and maintain a state of compliance.
- Supports investigation and resolution of nonconformances, deviations, and laboratory-related quality events by contributing technical input, root cause analysis, and documented corrective actions in alignment with quality system requirements.
- Performs accurate data entry into computer databases. Interprets and analyzes scientific data into product reports and summaries.
- Develops and validates analytical techniques, written procedures, and standard protocols to support research, scientific, technical, or engineering-related disciplines.
- Participates in project leadership responsibilities such as report writing, planning, scheduling, and cost control.
- Supports the periodic review and revision of laboratory SOPs by incorporating approved changes, clarifying procedural steps, and maintaining controlled documents in alignment with quality system requirements.
- Participates in project leadership responsibilities such as planning, scheduling, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cost control. Serve as a specified program subject matter expert for audits and cross-functional initiatives.
- Handles implementation of protocols and procedures involving hazardous chemicals, known infectious or potentially infectious agents in responsible manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in physical science, life science, or related science discipline or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience or years of graduate study may be considered.
Skills
- Ability to independently design and perform project work or experiments, analyze data, and report results.
- Requires ability to develop solutions to technical problems of moderate to intermediate complexity, make appropriate decisions, and meet time constraints.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Strong working knowledge of technical principles in assigned areas.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Ability to develop working knowledge of statistics tools for quality assurance, experimental design, and data analysis
- May give work direction to other technical resources and technicians.
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Target Pay Range: $71,900.00 to $89,900.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
