We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Scientist 2 to join our dynamic team, specializing in Bioburden and Endotoxin sampling. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting rigorous microbiological testing and analysis to ensure the safety and quality of our products. Your expertise will be critical in performing routine bioburden testing, endotoxin assays, and environmental monitoring, while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in microbiology, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for innovation in a fast-paced laboratory environment.   • Monitor the Environmental Monitoring (EM) Program. Includes overseeing the samples collected, reviewing reports, and conducting the trending analysis.
  • Assist as the Subject Matter Expert for the EM program, Endotoxin program, and/or the Bioburden program.
  • Participate in Sterilization validations and qualifications.
  • Interfaces with industry representatives and customers on routine matters.
  • Helps to develop and implement plans and procedures to comply with applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations.  Modifies, updates, and executes established programs to achieve and maintain a state of compliance.
  • Performs accurate data entry into word files and computer databases.  Interprets and analyzes scientific data into product reports and summaries.
  • Develops and validates analytical techniques, written procedures, and standard protocols to support research, scientific, technical, or engineering-related disciplines.
  • Participates in project leadership responsibilities such as report writing/reviewing, planning, scheduling, and cost control.




Bachelor’s degree or education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Preferred education in Chemistry, physical science, life science, or related science discipline.



Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience or years of graduate study may be considered.  



  • Experience with both Bioburden and Endotoxin sampling.
  • Document and Change Control experience desired.
  • Ability to independently design and perform project work or experiments, analyze data, and report results. 
  • Requires ability to develop solutions to technical problems of moderate to intermediate complexity, make appropriate decisions, and meet time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong working knowledge of technical principles in assigned areas.
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • May give work direction to other technical resources and technicians.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.



An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.

Target Pay Range:  $72,500.00 to $90,600.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
