Step into the role of Laboratory Scientist I and be at the forefront of impactful scientific discovery! In this position, you’ll utilize state-of-the-art equipment to collect, process, and analyze biological samples with precision and care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Collects, processes, and analyzes biological laboratory samples using standard lab equipment/methods following established lab procedures.
• Understands and follows safety and infection control standards.
• Maintains accurate laboratory quality records and logs.
• Executes GLP/Study protocols.
• Records results of tests, organizes data; performs basic computations.
• Contributes to reports using standard procedures and guidelines.
• Operates standard laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pH meter, and pipettes).
• Performs lab maintenance, QC checks, and assists with general upkeep.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s degree in life science, physical science, hematology, or related discipline, or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Experience

At least 2 years of laboratory experience at the college level or in a related field.

Skills

• Knowledge of lab maintenance and equipment calibration.
• Comfortable handling blood and blood components.
• Mastery of basic lab skills.
• Attention to detail. Familiar with Good Documentation Practices.
• Ability to work independently with specific supervision.
• Ability to follow regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

LOCATION

Lakewood, Colorado - Open to candidates willing to relocate to the area. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• General Labor Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.

Target Pay Range:  $66,500.00 to $83,100.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
