JOB TITLE: UI/UX Designer Intern - Graduate
JOB SUMMARY
Under general or minimal supervision, interns will embed into existing engineering teams and function as a team member working on a feature set, or work in collaboration with engineers and technical leaders on unique projects. See below for job-specific skills descriptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Collaborate with experienced development teams to work on projects that advance our products.
- Participates in the formation of projects goals, scope, and schedule.
- Conducts investigative analysis, testing, and develops solutions to routine and non-routine problems.
- Displays a positive, proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to apply general to complex engineering concepts to support department or company projects.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Strong sense of task ownership, urgency, and drive.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science, data science, engineering, physical science, or life science discipline.
Experience
No prior professional experience required.
Skills
- Ability to understand requirements and create wireframes and other UX maps/UI mockups using a variety of tools depending on the system being designed.
- Experience with UI/UX design and usability principles
- Ability to work within established UX patterns, design language and brand standards
- Experience with web markup and scripting languages and tools such as HTML, CSS, Balsamiq, Axure, PowerMockup, etc.
- Ability to deliver cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical office environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
