JOB SUMMARY

The Commercial Finance Intern will support the Commercial Finance team in analyzing business performance, contributing to forecasting and planning processes, and developing insights that inform decision‑making.  

This role provides hands‑on experience working with financial data, sales performance metrics, and business analytics in a global organization. The intern will work cross‑functionally with Commercial, Finance, and Analytics teams to help improve visibility into business performance and support strategic initiatives. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Analyze financial and business data to identify trends, variances, and potential opportunities or risks impacting performance.  
  • Support preparation of weekly and monthly sales performance reporting, helping to summarize key insights for the finance and commercial teams.  
  • Assist in forecasting and planning processes by compiling data, validating inputs, and performing foundational analysis.  
  • Contribute to the development of dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using Excel and other systems to improve visibility into business performance.  
  • Support budgeting activities, including data consolidation and variance analysis.  
  • Assist with financial models and analysis related to pricing, customer opportunities, and business cases under guidance of senior team members.  
  • Help track and manage operating expenses and identify potential cost savings opportunities.  
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects with Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Finance teams.  
  • Provide support for ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.  

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field  
  • Preferred: Junior or Senior standing  

 

Experience

  • Prior internship, coursework, or project experience involving finance, analytics, or business is a plus  
  • Exposure to Excel-based analysis or financial modeling through coursework is preferred  

 

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic data analysis)  
  • Interest in financial analysis, forecasting, and business performance  
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data  
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills  
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks  

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, traverse, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

 

 

Target Pay Range:  $33.00 to $33.00 -  Hourly pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  0.0%
