JOB TITLE:  Implementation Consultant



Working without significant direction, designs, develops, and delivers process assessments of customer’s processes for the intent of delivering Software and Process Optimization solutions. Includes any focused training and provides complex problem solving services in either a field or headquarters/remote environment. 



  • Provides assessment of technical, clinical, and workflow processes in the transplant collection or biotech program. 
  • Performs a needs analysis at the customer’s site to support the implementation of products, software and solutions.
  • Manages efficient change process at customer sites.  Prioritizes, determines tasks and resources, schedules, leverages resources, and produces results within the scope of the position.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for Stafa CT and cell-based therapy. 
  • Provides technical and operational consultation to transplant and cell-based programs during pre-sale, implementation, and post-implementation phases for Terumo Blood and Cell Technology systems and solutions.
  • Delivers in-service customer training programs and conducts virtual customer training.
  • Stays current on developments and trends in cell and gene therapy industry.  Analyzes therapy trends in the marketplace.  Communicates this market knowledge effectively.
  • Provides excellent project management using appropriate tools for effective organization of the implementation process from the pre-sales phase to the on-going post implementation phase.
  • Provides clinical or technical training support to field personnel.
  • Supports development of implementation materials, documentation, and labeling with BCT subject matter experts and product managers including regulatory and validation support tools.
  • Transfers knowledge of implementation process to other areas of the company, i.e. sales, marketing, research and development, and others.
  • Clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media. Effectively meets or exceeds customer needs, builds productive customer relationships, and takes responsibility for customer’s satisfaction and loyalty.




Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. RN, MT(ASCP)SBB, Project Management, or LEAN Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) certification is preferred.



Minimum 5 years experience



  • Experience using Spectra Optia for mononuclear cell collections.
  • Knowledge of industry specific regulations and QA specific for cell-based therapy.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a positive and proactive approach to solving complex and/or unusual clinical or technical problems.
  • Strong, demonstrated expertise in product and therapy knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to teach.  Demonstrated self-confidence and effectiveness in dealing with a wide variety of student types.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop training programs and documentation.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, physicians, nurses, and other technical medical staff.
  • Demonstrated and effective leadership skills.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.



An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.


Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Extensive travel required.


Target Pay Range:  $86,400.00 to $108,000.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
