Position provides analysis and technical expertise in an existing and emerging SAP environment. Performs a broad range of tasks which include research, analysis, design, configuration, testing, maintenance, support, training, and implementation of information technology solutions in the SAP ABAP environment.



  • Within the context of the ITS/Business Strategic Plan, operates independently in various activities such as research, selection, and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Applies highly professional business and/or technical knowledge when working with clients, other ITS groups, and vendors in activities such as identifying options, selection, analyzing, designing, installation, coding, maintenance, and testing of information technology solutions.
  • Responsible for providing technical assistance, problem resolution, support, and training for clients and other ITS groups.
  • Shares responsibility with team members for 24-hour on-call problem resolution.
  • Responsible for recommending, implementing, creating, maintaining, interpreting, improving, summarizing, and reporting on the performance indicators for the technology area.
  • Responsible for establishing, interpreting, and executing departmental procedures for the technology area.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or Business or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.



Minimum 5 years experience of current SAP ABAP design and development experience in several technical disciplines:

  • Enterprise Services (Publish and Consume)
  • HTTP Services
  • IDOCs / BAPIs/ RFCs
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Reports (Lists & ALV)
  • SAP Internet communication framework (SICF)
  • SAP Scripts, SMART Forms, Adobe Forms
  • Screen/Menu Painter
  • User Exits
  • Web Dynpro
  • Workflow
  • XML Mapping (Simple Transformations or XSLT)
  • Capable of working within an Agile methodology
  • Experience withing within a regulated industry and adhering to GAMP V practices
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research and recommend changes in an existing, changing, or emerging environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business/technical problems and select, design, or implement information technology solutions in accordance with business needs.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple business disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to accept personal accountability and ownership for areas of responsibility. Pursue solutions and make decisions.
