JOB TITLE: SAP FICO [RTR] Principal Configuration Analyst

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

Position provides analysis and functional/technical expertise in an existing SAP environment.  Performs a broad range of tasks which include research, analysis, design, configuration, testing, diagnosis, maintenance, support, training, and implementation of information technology solutions in SAP ECC environment. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Validating the SAP fit to business requirements by identifying solution options and business process changes, if necessary
  • Ability to configure SAP to meet business needs in the following SAP Modules: Product Costing [CO-PC], Controlling (CO) and Financial Accounting [FI] in a Discrete and Repetitive Manufacturing Environment
  • An experienced Finance professional with a strong background in Cost Accounting and a deep understanding of the Product cost controlling, Intercompany and Transfer Pricing.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives in Product Cost Controlling, Overhead Cost Allocations, Intercompany accounting and Profitability Reporting areas
  • Developing Tax efficient Intercompany models, Optimizing Product cost controlling, Overhead allocations and Profitability Reporting processes
  • Provide recommendations based on Product costing and Intercompany leading practices
  • Collect business requirements and apply industry leading best practice financial concepts to translate them into solution design
  • Applies highly professional business and/or technical knowledge when working with clients, other ITS groups, and vendors.
  •  Identifies and implements complex options, performs or leads analysis and design, develops software code, tests, documents and maintains IT solutions.
  • Create and conceptualize new methods, techniques and/or processes across job areas or functions in accordance with business needs.
  • Interprets, executes and recommends modifications to operating policies on a multifunctional basis.
  • Leads and coordinates intra- and inter- company projects with ability to accept personal accountability and ownership for areas of responsibility. 
  • Takes initiative to understand customers and their environment. Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple business disciplines.
  • Ability to lead team members to deliver on time and on budget committed results to customers.
  • Requires flexibility to adapt to and willingness to learn new technologies with demonstrated initiatives to continue life-long learning.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shares responsibility with team members for 24-hour on-call problem resolution.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience

Minimum 10 years experience

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of of Product Costing [CO-PC], Controlling (CO) and Financial Accounting [FI]., having a minimum of 10 years experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Senior Programmer/Analyst configuring SAP.   Work history must include multiple lifecycles designing, configuring and supporting the SAP CO/FI modules
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in implementing Product Cost Controlling and Intercompany Accounting
  • Deep functional understanding of end to end process design of Product costing including intercompany and Transfer Pricing process.
  • Led 2-3 full implementation of Product Cost controlling and Intercompany Transfer Pricing solutions
  • Proven Expertise in SAP product costing with experience in discrete, repetitive and process manufacturing environments
  • At least 10 years of SAP experience implementing SAP FICO and SAP Product Costing with experience in intercompany trading scenarios (STO, direct shipment, 3rd party, etc.), Material ledger and Actual costing impact on  COPA (Account Based/ Cost Based/Combined Profitability Analysis) and Profit Center/ Cost Center Accounting and reporting requirements
  • Understanding of FICO integration points to other modules such as PP, SD, MM
  • Development of project documentation, training materials, requirements gathering, and project management methodology experience required.
  • Experience with all aspects of financial and management accounting within an ERP system.
  • Experience with finance strategy and finance operations, including A/R, A/P, capital management, asset management, financial accounting, cost accounting, product costing/inventory valuation, tax, profitability analysis and reporting systems As well as knowledge of budgeting, planning and forecasting operations and technology a plus
  • Experience leading small to medium size projects
  • Requires expert knowledge of ASAP Methodology
  • Experience working within an Agile environment, ideally based on SAFe
  • Proficient writing user and functional requirements, function specifications and associated test cases to support validation
  • Experience developing and supporting solutions within regulated (e.g. life-sciences) and SOX/JSOX compliant environment ideal

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

 

 

Target Pay Range:  $112,200.00 to $140,300.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  10.0%
