JOB TITLE: Health & Wellness Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
The Total Rewards Specialist plays a key role in supporting the administration of U.S. employee benefits and driving wellness initiatives at Terumo BCT’s Lakewood site. This role ensures smooth execution of day-to-day benefits operations, supports employee engagement and education, and contributes to the success of Return-to-Office (RTO) strategies by fostering a culture of well-being and connection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Benefits Administration (U.S. Focus)
Provide administrative support for health, dental, vision, life, and disability plans.
Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries, claims resolution, and enrollment processes.
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate benefits activities.
Support annual open enrollment activities, including communications, logistics, and employee education.
Wellness & RTO Engagement
- Collaborate with HR and site leadership to design and implement wellness programs that support RTO initiatives.
- Organize on-site wellness events, campaigns, and resources to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Serve as a wellness ambassador, gathering employee feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Track participation and impact of wellness programs and report on outcomes.
Total Rewards & Communication
- Develop and distribute clear, engaging communications related to Total Rewards.
- Support onboarding and orientation efforts by educating new hires on available benefits and wellness resources.
- Support education efforts during workbench annual cycle.
- Administrative tasks for the Total Rewards COE
- Partner with internal communications to promote wellness and benefits initiatives across the Lakewood site.

- Experience supporting on-site initiatives in a hybrid or RTO setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience.
Skills
- Understanding of U.S. benefits regulations and practices preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse employee populations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, traverse, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
Target Pay Range: $26.00 to $32.00 - Hourly pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%
