JOB SUMMARY

The Data Analytics Analyst will be detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical and curious. The role requires a strong problem-solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done with minimal supervision.

 

This individual will work closely with Quality leadership and cross-functional business partners to produce and evaluate objective analyses and reports (e.g. trending, regression analysis, predictive modeling, data and margin/cost insights, etc), that bring clarity to quality related issues and overall trends in the organization and are designed to assist the business in making informed decisions.

 

The ideal candidate prides themselves on excellent follow through, accountability, and collaboration. Additionally, must be able to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and escalate concerns as appropriate. Customer- centric disposition and the tendency to over-communicate outcomes and processes are ideal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Works with Quality leadership to understand reporting needs, key business challenges and report frequency.
  • Manipulates and analyzes large data sets and connects disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations using creative, structured and analytical thinking.
  • Supports the development of effective, scalable, and easy to understand reporting solutions for routine and ad hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Develops reports and dashboards by leveraging data pulled from multiple systems and tools.
  • Assists with the architecture, development, and automation of data solutions, iteratively building and prototyping reports and dashboards to begin to enable insights at scale.
  • Participates in business process update activities.
  • Research industry best practices, benchmarks and tools to incorporate into analytics practices.
  • Builds strong internal and external relationships in order to collaborate with teammates, business leaders, clients, and application engineers to empower organization with high quality data.
  • Prioritizes work well in order to manage multiple work streams, high pressure situations, and new information.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree with studies in analytics, data science, information technology, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience

Minimum 3 Years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, information technology, management consulting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Skills

  • Experience supporting decision making  through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience with prioritizing and being successful in an environment with competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally, written, and presenting directly to managers and leadership.
  • Must have proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using data visualizations to communicate trends (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft BI, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience using Alteryx, PowerBI Dataflows, Azure Datafactories, other ETL, data enrichment, and data discovery software highly desirable.
  • Experience using SQL, R, Python or other data or scripting language.
  • Exposure to/ understanding of data architecture, warehouses and lakes, pointers, and data table design.
  • Prefer experience with conducting research using basic statistics (e.g., correlations, t-tests, regressions) and predictive modeling.
    OR
  • An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

 

Target Pay Range:  $68,400.00 to $85,500.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
