JOB TITLE:  Global Clinical Marketing Manager – Therapeutic Systems

 

JOB SUMMARY

Working without significant direction, provides strategic direction for worldwide clinical marketing including developing therapy/disease area strategy, commercialization accountability and support of continuous product improvement within the Therapeutic Systems business area. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develops strategic plans and directs others in the development and execution of strategy via market assessments and marketing research, development and delivery of effective product mix, sales tools, value analysis, pricing and problem resolution.
  • Works closely with Medical Affairs to translate clinical data and medical insights into commercial opportunities and cultivates strong cross-functional relationships with other key functions (including R&D, new business development, regulatory, clinical, operations, regional and corporate marketing, HEOR/Market Access and sales) towards the successful development of the business area product pipeline.
  • Includes ongoing leadership of cross-functional teams with specialty backgrounds to support development and commercialization requirements around the globe including project management, platform performance, clinical knowledge/training, ethical promotion following ADVAMED and EUMED guidelines.
  • Have ongoing and significant contact responsibility with customers and other medical professionals in the field, representatives of professional organizations with whom the business is affiliated, and executive/management levels within the business.
  • Oversees development of marketing plans for specific therapy areas, products, and/or product enhancements, ensuring proper positioning strategies. Leads pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities. Collaborates with regional marketing to drive commercial execution and ensures accountability.
  • Provides direction on product design and functionality, promotional materials, sales force collateral, and customer communication material to ensure consistency with customer needs.
  • Establishes and is held accountable for effective launch plans, early forecasts in new product sales (units, revenue) market share/penetration goals, profitability and is also accountable with sales for actual vs. Plan, ASP, product mix, disposable utilization. 
  • Leads activities to acquire, evaluate, store and disseminate information on competitive products and competitive information.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelors degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.  Master’s degree preferred.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the area of marketing and/or sales, preferably experience working in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment, ideally in a Global role, focused on driving clinical indications through medical/clinical marketing approaches and collaboration with medical affairs and HEOR. Launch experience highly desirable.

 

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of assigned product applications, therapies, and the markets in which they are used.
  • Advanced sales and marketing techniques and a strong working knowledge of market/clinical execution.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge with a step-gate product development process.
  • Strong knowledge of product positioning and competitive knowledge of markets worldwide.
  • Extensive knowledge of sales and marketing strategic planning through to program delivery.
  • Knowledge of global marketing strategies and market requirements and a working knowledge of global sales strategies.
  • Ability to assess and integrate customer needs and market trends within the context of product systems and business capabilities. Ability to translate this assessment into effective marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with multiple levels within a hospital as well as all functions and levels within the business organization.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics as they relate to product, price, and promotion.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:  $103,700.00 to $129,600.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  15.0%
