GLOBAL MARKET RESEARCH ANALYST

 

JOB SUMMARY

In collaboration with the Global and regional teams, the individual will effectively harvest and analyze key market data and business/competitive intelligence in support of strategic & business planning as well as tactical initiatives.  Strategically analyze relevant data to help us improve marketing and sales initiatives and interpret large quantities of data from across industries and communicate findings to our team and clients. The Global Market Research Analyst will help determine attractiveness of markets and understand evolving opportunities and threats to support Terumo BCT business objectives.  This includes rapid integration, visualization and communication of qualitative and quantitative market intelligence.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Within targeted subsectors of the healthcare and medical device industries, effectively utilize primary and secondary research methods to compile relevant data sourced from a variety of internal and external sources and analyze and summarize data through data visualization models, dashboards, and insights summaries
  • Routinely monitor, analyze and disseminate appropriate industry trends and risk, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic changes.
  • Deliver deep, actionable insights and make recommendations related to research findings for the purpose of confident decision making and business planning, including but not limited to: estimating market size, growth rates and industry cost structures and determining market opportunity, market penetration strategies, and market development metrics, reflecting quantitative and qualitative trends, competitive landscape, and the comprehensive analysis of distribution, customer and product specific information
  • Continually deepen industry and product knowledge and stay up to date with the latest advancements and emerging technologies within targeted healthcare subsectors.
  • Prepare high quality presentations of findings to project teams and executive management in a professional, engaging, and easy-to-understand way
  • Support the development and execution of effective plans and programs for Terumo BCT products, both strategic and tactical, to ensure progress toward the company’s objectives globally
  • Support the development and implementation of new products and solutions worldwide that meet and exceed customer requirements at required financial returns
  • Continually deepen knowledge of macroeconomics, industry risk, and healthcare innovation to strengthen analyses and recommendations
  • Contribute to a positive work climate for effective teamwork and morale.
  • Maintain effective internal control

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered

 

 

 

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years research and analytical experience; proven success in interpreting, manipulating and visualizing data to find and summarize insight from large datasets
  • Broad-based knowledge in business, health informatics, or economics
  • Previous experience within healthcare, preferred

  • Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated competence and success in interpreting, manipulating and visualizing data to find insight from large datasets
  • Inquisitive, creative thinking and can react quickly to changing markets

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional travel required (up to 15%)

 

Target Pay Range:  $92,000.00 to $115,100.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  7.0%
